While it lasted it was perfect! Regretfully it is a dead end street, considering the development has been discontinued few years ago, although it still works fine with VS2015 and .NET Framework 4.5.2. I'm planing to upgrade the platform soon, so my Gridex will face a new challenge, which I hope it will survive!

Best Grid of all I tryed. I can highly recommend this grid. There is almost nothing you can't do with it. Its easy to use.

I have used the Janus GridEX in a large project and I find it to be an excellent tool. I have not found anything that I could not do. It is awsome at incorporating value lists to the columns whether you populate them manually or via a dataset. I especially liked the fact that all the objects and menthods/properties are available programically, this makes the grid extremely flexible. I have seen some programmers try to extend the MS grid. In the end they create something primitive and not easily maintainable. Don't beat yourself up!

This grid maybe is good for a database source, but it is not good for general usage. It is OK for a small amount of data, but it is not efficient to handle lots of data. This grid is not flexible, it can not support different edit types in one column well and also all design of this grid is based on database. It only offers a very simple way (call back function) to support custom edit control. There are lots of limitations on the programming for this grid and it is hard to maintain if you do too many custom features. If you seek a professional grid with lots of features, you should not consider this grid. It is maybe good for a simple or small application.

I have recently bought Janus GridEX for .NET and it is one amazing grid. Not only are its' capabilities countless and its' flexibility remarkable, but it took me less than a day to figure out its' object model completely (at the beginning, it might seem intimidating but, once you get to comprehend it, it makes a LOT of sense and becomes almost intuitive to use). If you are serious about your applications and are looking for a grid that will give an end to your late nights, then this is the grid you are looking for. I give the product the highest possible score without any hesitation whatsoever (if there were six stars, I would have given it). I just hope they reduce the price for its ASP equivalent for those of us that have already bought this one (or vice versa).

Wow, what can I say, this is an outstanding component. The people at Janus are clearly artists as well as engineers, because beyond all else this grid is just gorgeous to look at. If you can look past its exterior though, you’ll find it is equally refined in implementation. Each feature and design choice Janus has made is clearly the result of a lot of consideration. It is fast, feature rich, and it embraces the .NET platform so adeptly that I can’t imagine working in this environment without it. Do yourself a favor and download a trial version, you’ll thank me.
