One software license is required per user.

SpeedTrace Pro provides you with freely Redistributable Recorder acting as a trace agent with which you can trace a virtually unlimited number of external clients via Internet/network free of charge.
For the configuration and analysis components as many licenses as concurrent users are required.

Perfinity offers Node Locked and Floating licenses.
Node-Locked License: Under the terms of a Node-Locked License, the Software is licensed for use on one computer at a time. This Node-Locked License will be "bound" to this computer and will only function on this computer. A Node-Locked License permits the use of a single instance of the Software which functions on one (1) single computer or computing device at a time.

Floating User License: Under the terms of a Floating User License, the Software may be used on one private network on different devices at the same time up to the number of floating seats licensed. The number of running instances of the Software at any one time may not exceed the number of floating seats licensed. One computer is designated as the "license server" where the license is installed and all other users of that Floating User License will require network access to the license server from their own individual computers.

Licensing Examples:
Scenario 1: If you for example record at 500 customer sites and need 10 concurrent developers or testers to investigate the issues, then you should acquire one of the following:

• 10 floating license if the analysis machines are not fixed and hence keep changing.
• 10 node locked licenses if machine binding is guaranteed

Scenario 2: A customer with 10 developers deploying to a server machine for use by end users outside their company will require:

• 1 Floating License and Freely distributable Trace Agents if only one developer at a time analyzes the recorded traces or snapshots.
