ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint is a suite of Silverlight-enabled Web Parts for visualizing Microsoft SharePoint lists and libraries. ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint enables administrators to easily add interactive and useful elements to their SharePoint sites. ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint access both SharePoint lists and SQL Server data. ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint is easily configurable by administrators and, if permissible, by end users alike. ComponentOne Studio for SharePoint exploits the full capability of the Silverlight platform. These SilverLight-based web parts help users visualize data with grids, charts, and Microsoft Virtual Earth-based maps. Each web part has a intuitive designer, so users can configure their own views.
Updates in 2011
- 2 New Web Parts: ImageViewer and CoverFlow. Both of these allow the user to view images in new and useful ways. With this release ComponentOne will have 5 Web Parts in their Studio - Chart, DataGrid, Map and 2 new Web Parts, CoverFlow and ImageViewer
- CoverFlow displays SharePoint picture libraries in an interactive iTunes-style gallery
- ImageViewer displays an image with a magnifying glass that lets you zoom in anywhere on the image
- Point-and-Click Web Part Connections: Allows the user to create useful and interactive pages without needing a developer
- DataGrid Enhancements: More control of row and column formatting with settings such as sizing, format, and word wrapping
- Chart Enhancements: More control of axis and series formatting. Now the user can chart more than one series per axis
