Altova DiffDog is a powerful diff / merge tool for files, folders, and directories. Altova DiffDog includes an easy-to-use synchronization utility quickly compares and merges text or source code files and directories via its intuitive visual interface. Altova DiffDog also provides advanced XML aware differencing and editing capabilities based on those popularized in Altova XMLSpy.
The following editions are available:
Users can now quickly and easily synchronize large file systems and complex subdirectory structures locally or across networks with DiffDog 2011 Release 3.
The synchronize feature of directory comparisons in DiffDog 2011 Release 3 is enhanced with a new set of buttons at the top of the Synchronize directories dialog to facilitate using DiffDog to make exact copies of folders, directories, and subdirectories for backup or other duplication requirements. The requirements for an exact copy are a bit different than a conventional directory diff/merge comparison, since the source directory could contain an older version of a file than the target, or the source could be missing files that exist in - and should be deleted from - the target.
