Altova Authentic is an advanced WYSIWYG XML authoring tool that allows technical writers, documentation specialists, and business users to view and edit XML and relational database content without being exposed to the underlying syntax. XML documents and database tables are created and edited via a sophisticated word processor-style interface, based on structured electronic forms developed in StyleVision. Altova Authentic is ideally suited for use as the user interface element of XML-based content management systems, document frameworks, and enterprise collaboration workflows. The Altova Authentic user interface allows users to capture, view, and update structured information directly via intuitive, customizable, and interactive electronic forms. - JDBC database driver support - Authentic forms designed in StyleVision now support database connections via JDBC drivers.
- Java API - With the Java API developers can now more easily automate Authentic functionality in Java projects – without having to adapt the COM API.
- New samples for API use - Authentic now includes several code samples in JScript, C#, and Java that demonstrate how to utilize the Java or COM API to automate Authentic from different development environments.
- Warning before execution of Authentic script - Authentic Desktop security has been enhanced through the addition of a warning invoked before a script executes. In order to minimize disruptions Authentic also includes a mechanism for defining trusted locations.
- Search in project window - Now you can search for individual forms directly from the project window. In addition, a number of search options have been added to make the process even more precise.
