Essential ProjectIO

• Microsoft Project Read/Write Library - Essential ProjIO is a native .NET library that enables .NET applications to read and write Microsoft Project .xml-format documents without relying Microsoft Project. It does not use COM Interop and is built from scratch using C#. The ProjIO library can be used in any .NET environment including C# and VB.NET. It is a Non-UI component that can be used both on Windows and Web Applications.

Essential PDF Viewer

• ASP.NET MVC Implementation - Essential PDFViewer for ASP.NET MVC is a viewer component that lets you display PDF files from within your ASP.NET MVC applications. The PDF Viewer can also be used as a stand-alone application for viewing and printing PDF files without any reliance on Adobe. It supports various PDF objects such as text, lines, curves, color spaces, and .jpeg images with DCTDecode and FlateDecode filters.

Essential PDF

• HTML to PDF Conversion via Gecko - The current HTML to PDF conversion requires Internet Explorer to be running on the server. This new feature uses Mozilla instead on the server to do the conversion and overcome the limitations with Internet Explorer 9.

Essential Report Viewer

• PDF Export - This feature uses a Web service to export Essential Report Viewer content as a PDF document.
• Document Map - Helps users view specific product details in a report by using document map navigation.
• Sub-Report Support - Sub-report support is provided for loading reports from a local server so that report client definition (.rdlc) files can be loaded in a sub-report which is a report without headers or footers. This feature allows you to load the body of a sub-report in a main report loaded from the reporting server. The sub-reports can reside in the same server.

Essential XlsIO

• Binding Business Objects to Template Markers - Support has been added for binding business objects to template markers by binding a list of custom class objects to template markers. It also supports header names, images, and Enumeration-type business objects.

Essential DocIO

• Write Protection with Password Support for Word 2007 and Word 2010 Documents - Essential DocIO already supports document protection with passwords for Word 97–2003 documents. Document write protection is a set of restrictions that is used to prevent unintentional changes to parts or all of a document. However, this protection does not encrypt the document. With this protection on, you can open and view the document generated without a password, but you cannot edit the contents of the write-protected document.
• Field Updating Engine - A field in a Word document is a placeholder for data that might change upon updating fields.  A field contains a field code, field separator, field result, and field end. The field code contains information about how the field result is to be calculated and updated. The field result specifies the resultant value of the field. A field updating engine updates the field result based on the field code information.
