Compared to Entity Framework and other Model-centered environments ECO looks more mature and has much more powerful features like built-in unlimited Undo/Redo capability, rich runtime model information, executable state machines, powerful object repository with strong query mechanism (both Linq and OCL in-memory/in-database queries are allowed). ECO easily binds to any UI, and even has automated UI builders for Silverlight/WPF/Web/WinForms based on View-Model pattern.

With ECO we could encorporate true Domain-Driven Design approach to our development process.

We use ECO for the prototyping.
If the Model is stable (classes with relations, state machines, derived associations, derived attributes, etc.) and the prototype of the user interface is ready and approved we have possibility to continue the development using ECO or to rewrite the domain using nhibernate/spring/entity/etc. We have the PICTURE of the business domain, not the INFRASTRUCTURE.
I strongly recommend ECO as a time and money saving tool
