Analyzer For data access, advanced analysis and interactive reporting, creating new microcubes and reports
Explorer For data access, analysis and interactive reporting
Contour OLAPBrowser is a web-oriented software for data access, analysis and interactive reporting on a single PC, on the local network or on the web. It provides multi-windowed user interface for viewing interactive reports, web pages and MS Office documents in a single application. With OLAPBrowser users can slice and dice through data, make graphical analysis, configure and print multiple reports with sub-second response times.
Contour OLAPBrowser gets data and reports from Contour microcubes, which are mobile report containers storing extremely compressed multidimensional databases and sets of well formed reports. Such files can be published to Web sites, network directories, or sent by email. OLAPBrowser has an aesthetic and user-friendly interface based on MS Internet Explorer. You should just type the URL of the microcube you want in the Address bar or click a link on the Web page to receive a pack of the company's reports.
Use Contour OLAPBrowser to create global and enterprise information delivery systems, OLAP solutions for workgroups, Executive Information Systems, and personal analytical applications.
Usage scenarios
Distributing reports to subscribers by email. Your consulting company sells marketing surveys to a number of subscribers. You save your data in a microcube using Contour OLAPBrowser and/or Contour CubeMaker and/or ContourCube ActiveX application and send it to your customers by monthly email. They click on a microcube attached to the email message and view reports with Contour OLAPBrowser
Sales reports. Your application registers sales transactions of a company. Contour CubeMaker weekly produces microcubes: sales by regions, sales by products and sales by quarters. Microcubes are then published to your intranet. Users analyze sales of their company using Contour OLAPBrowser
Distributing reports to the branch offices. Your Data Warehouse collects data from company branches. Contour CubeMaker monthly builds microcubes by script with Master field "Branch" and your script sends microcubes containing various reports for the staff of each branch by email. They view reports using Contour OLAPBrowser
Providing reports to subscribers on the Web. You have a public Web site with statistical content. Your customers subscribe for your reports and use Contour OLAPBrowser to view reports. You store reports at a Web-server and create secure page for subscribers with links to several microcubes. Your customers visit the page with OLAPBrowser, click on links and view reports. Then, they can save microcubes on their PCs and make custom analytical reports

Fast deployment, zero administration, unlimited scalability
OLAPBrowser does not need any specific server. Users should just install the program to work with microcubes. Microcubes can be created once and scheduled for regular update, stored anywhere and does not require any maintenance at all. Thousands of users can view one microcube at the same time because OLAPBrowser performs all calculations at client side.
Interactive data analysis and reporting with sub-second response times
Contour OLAPBrowser allows users to interactively analyze data, build and print reports by clicking and drag&dropping with sub-second response times. Users can dynamically interact with data: move rows and columns, filter data, drill-down, roll-up, pivot table and get all possible reports from one dataset. Contour OLAPBrowser makes millions of calculations simultaneously and shows new subtotals and totals instantly.
Information access flexibility
OLAPBrowser can open microcubes across the corporate LAN, WAN, Web, and microcubes received by e-mail. User can type URL of a microcube in the address field of OLAPBrowser, or click on a link to a microcube placed on a Web server and view corporate or public reports. Users can open a microcube from a file server or local directory, and send or receive microcubes by email. So IT-managers can create very simple and flexible enterprise reporting systems.
Microcube - a universal mobile container of interactive reports
OLAPBrowser gets data and reports views from Contour microcubes. Contour microcube is a new concept in multidimensional databases. It stores not only extremely compressed data but all reports definitions in a single file. So any application powered with ContourCube can generate microcubes and define report layouts and many other applications will be able to view and print those reports. OLAPBrowser can show reports generated by ERP, CRM or any other 3rd party systems with ContourCube embedded, by Contour CubeMaker and by OLAPBrowser itself.
Users can use microcube like Excel book that stores data and reports in one file. Microcube can be created by one person, published anywhere and then shared with other persons, who can read it, change and share like an Excel workbook.
Very compact storage, very fast data loading
The microcubes store data in a very compact form. Source data loaded into a microcube is compressed by 90% up to 99.9%, so you can publish this file to a Website, send it by e-mail or save it on your laptop. Imagine that data for all sales of your company for this year can be stored in one single file of 1 or 2 MB. You can save this file at your mobile PC and work with it anywhere. That is why Contour OLAPBrowser loads microcubes very fast. You have only to wait for a second to see a report that aggregates hundreds of thousand records from the source database.
Rich analysis, data manipulation and interactive reporting capabilities
Contour OLAPBrowser has many features for data manipulation using advanced OLAP technology. It allows to dynamically drill down through the data, provides many built-in functions for calculations on measures. Easy to use and powerful Formula Language dynamically performs custom calculations.
High quality data visualization
OLAPBrowser allows you to rapidly set colors, fonts, header & footer, create charts for better understanding of data. Users can create new reports and change layout of exiting reports, add and remove calculated fields. Conditional styles gathered in cascaded stylesheets allow to highlight important facts and values, so users get data in the most clear format possible.
Reports distribution technology
Contour OLAPBrowser provides ready to use powerful and affordable technology for delivering reports to a wide range of users through extranet, intranet, internet and email.
