Anylabel potential application, NHS Pathology Laboratory, multi licence envisaged. Zebra thermal printers

Requirement

Unique sample identification barcode labesl with the following details

MMDDNNNNN where
MM current month 2 digit
DD current day 2 digit
NNNNN Serial number, incrementing by 1, range 10001 to 99999, return to 10001 at midnight

Problem 1, concantenating this information in a barcode (I 2/5 with checkdigit)

Problem 2. Print front end, simple select label type, then number of labels (series)

Currently evaluating software

The next release of AnyLabels (hopefully March 1st) will have a function to produce numeric dates in a specified format (eg DDMMYY or YY/MM/DD etc), and such dates may be concatenated with a serial number, so I suspect that will solve the problem.

While Interleaved 2 of 5 could still be used, we would normally recommend Code 128 for jobs like this as it is a more reliable symbology and cannot short read.
