FaxMan Jr. does not detect any modems on a 2000 server machine when I run the FMPORTSCAN program. I have reviewed all services to check if any were running and using the com port, none were. The modems can be detected and tested by phone\Modem in the control panel. I have tried two exterenal and one internal modems. I am using version 1.71.

I'm using Faxman Jnr and importing BMP files for faxing. The fax is successful but compresses the image on the resultant fax to about 1/2 the page size. The bitmap is currently 1700 x 2200, please can you tell me what is the optimal bitmap size for faxing?

FaxMan Jr."Unable to Get Filename" Pop-Up meals2u [USA] 08-Oct-2005 19:03:03

I had VBFaxJr installed on my computer when it was part of a network. I have since been using it w/o the network and have removed the FaxMan Jr program. A port was created for the FaxMan program. Upon startup, I get a pop-up which reads, "Unable to get Filename for Port: VBFaxJr". I have tried removing the FaxMan "printer" and the port to which it was attached with no success. That popup remains (centered on my scree". The best I can do is drap it to the bottom of my screen, somewhat out of the way. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Hi

Why Oh why does it stretch a one page document over two pages on the recieving fax side?

I have a Dynalink modem which works fine, but when I use any other modem it stretchs the document over two pages on the recieving side.

This is a matter of urgency as the single outgoing fax (Dynalink) needs additional modems added to the app as it can't cope amount of out going faxs. We can not find a supplier who does the Dynalink modem any more.

The .tiff image (multipage and single page) views fine in image viewer and faxman printer app. So does the .fmf file.
Is there some way in telling the Faxman jr componenet to force page size?
Is class 1 fax vs class 2 and issue?
I have tried setting faxresolution to low and high

I am running out of ideas

Thanks
Iain

I finally think I got it sorted. I added a resample image size before it creates the .fmf file. It is kinda wierd but it seems to work. Just the strange thing is that the width is greater than the height. It doesn't make sense but it works. I have two microcom fax class 1 modems now working.

Your documentation suggests that FaxMan Jr. is compatible with PowerBuilder.

Do you have sample code that illustrates this?

We need to verify if this product supports Arabic before we can invest time to test it.
