DLSC FlexGantt Licensing Overview
Three different license types are available for purchase: Development License, Runtime License, and Source Code License.

• Any company that wants to develop applications built on FlexGantt has to purchase a single development license first. This license is valid for all developers of the company.
• A runtime license is required once the product gets ready to be shipped to the customers. Each product and each project requires its own runtime license.
  A development license is a prerequisite for ordering a runtime license.
• FlexGantt ships in binary form only (class files). A source code license can be purchased if the source files are needed, too.
  A development license is a prerequisite for ordering a Source Code License. Please note that there may be a delay before you receive the Source code as your order details have to be verified before the Source code can be sent to you.

A product is defined as an off-the-shelve piece of software where the exact same copy gets sold to several customers. A project is a piece of software, which was implemented for a specific customer, even if only a part of the solution is custom made and FlexGantt is a part of the not changing core of the solution.

Research License
A special license is available for educational and research purposes (schools, universities). This license includes the standard development and runtime license. This license can not be used to deploy any commercial applications.

Upgrade Policy
FlexGantt ships with a major version number, a minor version number, and a bugfix number (e.g.: 1.1.7). Any updates / changes to the minor version and the bugfix number are free of charge. A new license only needs to be purchased when the major version number changes.
