ASP.NET review only - Positives: JavaScript implementation instead of bogus image postback like competitors (simply great!) Completion visible in the tasks Ability to color coding of tasks Moving and Resizing of tasks very powerful Negatives: Customizing the ASP.NET interface requires Windows.Form added to project - in order to catch events which should be exposed in ASP.NET. Separate bridge object for settings - quite awkward to work with Royalty-Free but wants runtime licenses created for each domain name - this is very inconvenient to say the least. HTTP Handlers are not used instead opting for aspx file transfer method. No unbound mode - requiring a dataset Few samples Staff: Overall they are very helpful (responsive too) and that is the main advantage to pushing through this control. It is not a control which is out-of-the-box easy to get moving in - expect a couple days. Everything needs to setup just right to get data to appear in the control - or it's blank. I would like to see more emphasis spent on flushing out the object model and work flows. The results of the object are a 5 star control. The usability from a coders point of view is 2 stars at best. I think 3 is fair but with a little work on their end - it could be 5 stars.

Overall a very good control and fairly cost effective. The control was very well thought out. It generally met all our requirements but where it did not meet them, they were relatively easy to bolt on. In particular, drawing gridlines, additional time lines and adding tooltips on to time areas. The one feature that was missing that we really could use is a Copy to Clipboard method.

Quick and high quality technical support given to us by Plexityhide while developing our products, is our most valuable bet for using their products. All other features we need to consider GTP.NET high quality product are also given, flexibility of developing any idea you could have, studied solutions for problems you could find out and new great ideas for your own benefit. In short, we really give a high mark for these guys. Well done, and keep this way as you have been doing for so long.

We have been using the GTP.NET 1.3.1. Our team leader let a junior developer exercise the GTP.NET during a short term. He had been participated the project and we've achieved good results from his help. Thankfully, we could get rapid answers from PlexityHide.com when problem occurs. You should fully acquaint to use many supported functions of GTP.NET. Please refer to the attached manual for essential functions. GTP.NET 2.0 enhanced the manual better. The Schedule Mode of GTP.NET 2.0 makes easily GUI be created. And you can draw task elements on the Gantt chart through the Create TimeItem Mode. If you want other graphic lines except the StartToStart or the StoptoStop of the TimeItemLink style, you can define new shape and redraw it on the Gantt chart.(In fact we hope that GTP.NET 2.0 has an arrow that points both-ways as the TimeItemLink default style.) The GTP.NET that has stability and flexibility is good choice. Written by Bashan Network Development Team

After researching many different components from various publishers, plexityHide’s GTP.NET could not be beaten on features, flexibility, speed, and ease of use. We haven’t found anything that this control cannot do. Everything is customisable and when I say everything, I mean everything. With the multitude of sample projects provided, it is very easy to find some WORKING sample code that does what you want. All properties, methods, and events are well thought out and very intuitive. The help file is well laid out and fully documents the control with code samples. Support via email is exceptional with most emails responded to within 24 hours. I have no hesitation to recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a graphical way to display time oriented data.

I have been using the plexityhide gantt component since the VCL and ActiveX version. I chose this component after significant research on the net for a good and flexible gantt chart component. GTP.NET hands-down is the winner. It is elegantly designed and is amazingly flexible. The properties, methods and events are very intuitive and there is always a way to perform a task even if it's a very obscure one. There are adequate drawing shapes out of the box, however you can always add anything you want through Userdraw events. It is very fast in the redraws and this was a requirement for me, because I can potentially have thousands of timeitems. Support through email has always been timely and quite good. In short, I highly recommend this component to anybody who is need of a well performing, elegantly designed gantt chart like functionality. I believe that source code is additionally available to purchase which is a great risk management feature for any large corporation.
