The product description says:

"ImageMan is the only imaging toolkit that allows you to add support for hosting thousands of Adobe Photoshop plugins. Visit out PlugIn Effects Gallery for sample effects and links to other filter resources"

... ok I would like to visit the Plugin Effects Gallery. Where is it?

Thanks.

TIFF Licence mgbrown [United Kingdom] 09-Jan-2003 11:30:26

I was interested in using ImageMan for TIFF files, however it seems you need a seperate licence from UNISYS for this. The licence that UNISYS have offered us costs $3500 (US) and 0.75% of everything we sell. Does anyone know of a cheaper option? I only want to sell my product to one customer to run on two machines. $3500 is a bit steep.

A License is not required for TIFF support but rather for support of LZW encoded TIFFs as Unisys owns the patent which covers LZW compression.

By default our TIFF reader/writer support uncompressed, Group 3, Group 4, Packbits and Modified Huffman encoded TIFF files out of the box. The LZW support is 'locked' and requires proof of the Unisys license for us to unlock that support.

Developer license? 27-Jun-2002 06:26:39

I'm confused with the term 'developer license'.
Does it mean 'node locked' ? Then, how about the case of distribution? Is it free?
If the distribution is free and I can copy your.ocx to wherever I want, why multiple 'developer licenses'
are needed? Do you have any protection method for this situation? Or, does it only depend on my conscience?

I want to develop application using your .ocx, and then distribute it to our customers. What kind of, what number of
license fits for me? Would you please explain more detail about your pricing policy, and then suggest one that most
fits?

YEAH I'M CONFUSED TOO...on one hand data techniques claims it to be royalty free for imageman suite...on the other it says that you require one server lisence per server deployment that was from their website...so is it royalty free only for desktop application or does it apply to clieit side for client/server applications? Well the other option is to go for Imagekit which is royalty free all the way including web server/ client server applications (and or deployments) unless imageman clarifies this!!

The ImageMan ActiveX product is 100% royalty free and requires no server or runtime licenses. Its licensed per developer. There is no copy protection or node locking scheme.
