I would not recommend to by this product for .net 2.0 and up since they don't support it and apparently aren't planning it in the future. I don't know why ComponentSource would still make this product available for resale since there is no future support and everyone are using VS2005 .Net 2.0 and up.

The reason that this product is still for sale is because not everyone is using VS2005 .Net 2.0 and up. The compatiblity section on the product page only indicates compatibility with .NET Framework 1.0 and we have not marked it is as being compatible with VS2005 or VS2008.

We have stopped using this now. This is a shame as we were dependant on this product for part of our system. It did the job we needed pretty well, and the documentation was ok. The problem is that it is not compatible with any version of Visual Studio after 2003, and it does not run at all on Vista-64.

The authors don’t seem to be around anymore to update the product. The last version was built in 2003, so it is amazing that it is still being sold.

In summary, only use if you are building products on VS2003 and don’t intend to upgrade to 2005 or 2008 anytime, ever…..
