WinNavigationBar is the more compact, concise, and capable alternative to a tree or menu when the following situations apply to your application:

• Limited Space for a Navigation User Interface - WinNavigationBar takes up less space than a tree view, while at the same time giving the user the flexibility to back-up and drop down lists of alternatives from anywhere along its location path.
• Users Need to Remember their Place - The navigation path identifying the user's current location can always be read on a single line, making it easier to remember or write down than a series of cascading menus or tree nodes.
• Involves Data- or Process-oriented Navigation - You can use WinNavigationBar to guide users through both hierarchical data pertinent to your application domain, or to produce wizard-like user interfaces for business processes that may involve significant nesting and compartmentalization of steps and sub-steps as they are completed.

WinNavigationBar features at a glance:

• Navigation Path - The entire sequence of steps that make up the user's current location is clearly visible on a single line.
• Location Images - Each location can be associated with its own location image shown at the leftmost edge of the WinNavigationBar.
• Drop Down Selection - Randomly access child locations using the implicit drop down button beside each location.
• Return to Previous Locations - At the rightmost edge of the WinNavigationBar is a drop down history of previously visited locations.
• Action Buttons - Much like a toolbar control, you can add functional buttons to the WinNavigationBar.
• Editable Mode - Display switches into an editable navigation path, allowing the user to quickly reach a location by typing in its path.
