Silverlight Map control. Now you can present end users with your business data in rich and interactive maps featuring panning, zooming, mouseover effects and tooltips with Infragistics xamWebMap. Extensibly designed with events and properties that enable you to customize its more sophisticated behavior and configurable options, the Silverlight Map control was modularly constructed around the following key components: Map Layers, Navigational panes, Color Swatch panes and Scale panes.

With Infragistics xamWebMap Silverlight control maps in the ESRI Shapefile standard can be displayed, which includes any polygon-based shapefiles (lots, states, countries), polyline-based shapefiles (roads, rivers, transmission lines), and point-based shapefiles (cities, points of interest). The scenarios in which you can customize these maps are almost limitless, for example:

Layout of the legends, navigation pane, etc.
Color model of map elements (i.e., US states and counties, colored by rainfall amount)
Associating a data source (i.e., .dbf file or SQL Server) with the map elements
