LEADTOOLS 2D Barcode Module by LEAD Technologies

Add the ability to write and read 2D barcodes to your LEADTOOLS applications. LEADTOOLS 2D Barcode Module adds on to LEADTOOLS Imaging, Imaging Pro, Document Imaging, Medical Imaging and Vector Imaging SDKs. LEADTOOLS 2D Barcode Module includes C++ Class libraries and ActiveX controls. The barcode recognition software is very fast; it permits fast document scanners to maintain full speed while performing barcode recognition operations on the fly for document-indexing purposes.

LEADTOOLS 2D Barcode Module Main Features include:

Contains Error Correction Code (ECC) to fix damaged barcode symbols

Reads and writes color and gray symbols

Store up to 2,218 ASCII characters in one barcode symbol, chain symbols to encode up to 33,225 characters

(Read module) Reads barcodes independent of skew, orientation, flipping. Read barcodes from region of interest, contained in any supported image file format (over 100 supported), acquired from scanner or digital camera

(Write module) Write to any supported raster format (over 100) into region of interest, print to any Windows compliant printer

LEAD's most recent addition to its barcode support is the 2D DataMatrix barcode. A 2D DataMatrix symbol is square and can range from 0.001 inch per side up to 14 inches per side. As an example of density, 500 numeric only characters can be encoded in a 1-inch square using a 24-pin dot matrix printer.

DataMatrix is currently being used to encode product and serial number information on electrical rating plates, to mark surgical instruments in Japan, and to identify lenses, circuit boards and other items during manufacturing.

LEADTOOLS DataMatrix Barcode Modules support 32 different DataMatrix sub types and include functionality such as Error Correction Code (ECC) to fix damaged barcode symbols, read and write color and grayscale symbols, store up to 2,218 ASCII characters in one barcode symbol or chain symbols to encode up to 33,225 characters and read barcodes independent of skew, orientation and flipping.
