NMSDVD Burning SDK Licensing
This CD/DVD recording SDK has a very simple license model that is flexible and easy to understand. It accommodates everyone from large corporations to individual developers. The license model is based on the number of development seats, organizational size, and the type of application deployments required.

Numedia Soft do not charge runtime license fees, or royalties. You are free to redistribute the CD/DVD recording SDK components with your application as long as your deployment model continues to be within the scope of your original License.

Licensing Check List
As you consider which license to purchase, please keep in mind the following criteria:

• How many developers, or automated build systems (an automated build systems is considered as a developer) will need access to the SDK for the project in question? If anyone in your organization needs access to the SDK components from within any type of development environment, they will need an additional developer license.
• How many employees does your organization employ?
• In how many physical sites (locations) does development occur? In other words, does your development involving the SDK occur at multiple sites?
• Does your project require development of an embedded application? If so, are you developing more than one application?
• What kind of support do you need?

* The Professional License Software Assurance Subscription covers ALL developers at a company or organization that have a valid Professional Developer's License for the term of the subscription. It is not a "per developer" fee.

Technical Support And Upgrades
Basic technical support and product updates (patches, bug-fixes, etc.) are provided at no charge for the first year. This does not include product version upgrades beyond 90 days or priority technical support. This is an important consideration because the technology in the NMSDVD Burning SDK is frequently upgraded due to rapid changes in the CD/DVD storage market (supporting new devices types/media, operating systems, etc). The introduction of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD devices (which are supported) are good examples of these technology advancements.

Software Assurance Subscription
The optional 'Software Assurance Subscription' will allow you to obtain all upgrades at no cost during the term of your subscription. This subscription also includes all of the benefits of the 'Priority Technical Support', 'Priority Technical Support' provides high priority support via email with a 24-72 hour response time during normal business hours. Important Note: The 'Software Assurance Subscription' can only be purchased at the time of the initial License purchase and is not available at a later date. Customers without a valid 'Software Assurance Subscription' will need to purchase any product version upgrades at full retail price. Please see the EULA in the Evals & Downloads section for specific details.

Standard License (NMSDVDX-S)
Royalty-free license for use in shareware software development by a single individual developer in a company or organization with ONLY one employee/owner.

Standard SAS (NMSDVDX-SSAS)
Annual Software Assurance Subscription for a Standard license. Provides free product upgrades and Priority Technical Support for a term of one year. SAS can only be purchased at the time of the initial License purchase.

Professional Developer License (NMSDVDX-PRO)
License a single developer at a company or organization with more than one employee/owner. This is a royalty-free license for use in commercial software applications. This license includes a provision for the development of one 'Embedded Application' with no additional run-time fees.

Additional Professional Developer License(s) (NMSDVDX-PRO01)
Add additional developers' licenses to a valid Professional Single Developer License. Each developer requires a license.

Professional License SAS (NMSDVDX-PROSAS)
Annual Software Assurance Subscription for one (1) or more Professional Developers' licenses at the same organization or company. SAS can only be purchased at the time of the initial License purchase. * The Professional License Software Assurance Subscription covers ALL developers at a company or organization that have a valid Professional Developer's License for the term of the subscription. It is not a "per developer" fee.

Commercial License (NMSDVDX-COM)
License an unlimited number of developers at a company or organization with more than one employee/owner. This is a royalty-free license for use in commercial software applications. This license includes a provision for the development of an unlimited number of 'Embedded Application(s)' with no additional run-time fees.

Commercial SAS (NMSDVDX-COMSAS)
Annual Software Assurance Subscription for a commercial license. Provides free product upgrades and Priority Technical Support for a period of one year. SAS can only be purchased at the time of the initial License purchase.
