New Features and Enhancements of OfficeHTMLFilter V1.1

• Added COM interface.
  In response to users' demands, a COM interface is now available. Along with other existing interfaces such as c, .NET and Java, designed to make it easy to integrate OfficeHTMLFilter V1.1 into your applications.
• Supported conversion of more image files.
  In the Windows version, the image conversion function which converts WMF/EMF in Word/Excel/PowerPoint file into PNG has been added so that the browser can display more image files.
• Added character encoding, GB18030.
  Character encoding, GB18030, has been added to enable world wide use of the created HTML.
• Added new conversion options.
  To respond users' various needs as much as possible, the conversion options have been added.
• Easy sample command line "Office2HTML" is available.
  You can use command line "Office2HTML" independently without integrating with your application to convert your document into HTML.

OfficeHTMLFilter V1.1 is a Software Development Kit (SDK) which converts a Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel document into HTML on a server. Users are able to access its convenient functionalities (converting office document to HTML) programmatically by building this library into their own application or system.

No need for native application
To convert document to HTML, MS Office Application (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) does not need to be installed.

Multi-thread applications
The library is made as thread safe, and can therefore be used from multi-thread applications. It is possible to use this specification to output HTML files in bulk on the server.

Available for Windows, Solaris, and Linux
The library is available for Windows, Solaris and Linux. The library has been designed and developed as a multi-platform version, and can therefore be transported quickly even when other OS/CPU are combined.

Main Functions

• File Identifying Function:
  OfficeHTMLFilter V1.1 identifies the name and version of the application that produced the file. Each file is identified precisely based not on extension type, but the information inside the file
• Converting Function:
  OfficeHTMLFilter V1.1 converts the specified file into an HTML+CSS file. Some output options, such as outputing CSS file as a external file or outputing HTML file from Excel file sheet by sheet, are also available.
