Yes - RapidSpell is an excellent spell checker; you won't make a wrong decision choosing it based on on features and performance alone. This is not the whole story though. Simply put, Keyoti tech support is truly first-rate. Even if RapidSpell were not as good as any other competitive spell checker, their support would still tip the scale in their favor. Beyond being incredibly responsive and highly knowledgeable, they also go well above exceeding expectations in satisfying any remotely reasonable request. Keyoti support is not only an outstanding help desk, they are the single best customer service I have experienced with any company.

RapidSpell is a highly adaptable - and extremely rapid - spell checking product. We evaluated as many solutions as we could find, and settled on RapidSpell - this turned out to be an excellent decision. At no point have we regretted using this product, and we have found the support team extremely responsive and Keyoti have been only too pleased to take on sensible requests for additional functionality for our specific environment.

Recommended without hesitation.

Keyoti RapidSpell Desktop .NET is a must if you want to easily add spellchecking capabilities to your programs. It took me less than a day (!) to learn how to use it and to include it, with all features you expect to have, with my latest project. Since I use a lot of RichText fields with large text-blocks I was a bit afraid that the spellchecking while typing would make my program sluggish – but no, even on a slow computer the extra spellchecking can hardly be measured, and since the component uses threads it never interferes while the user does extensive work. I am impressed!

Since we target the Scandinavian market I needed some new dictionaries (Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and Danish). I thought this would give me problems, but after a quick look on the Internet I found several very good wordlists which can be used royalty free. I simply loaded these lists into the included dictionary manager and I now have all the dictionaries I need! Special customer adapted dictionaries can therefore easily be created – adds a nice touch to my projects' feature-lists…

Keyoti’s support seems to match the quality of their products. I use the Infragistics NetAdvantage user interface components and needed a new build to match their latest version – it took not long before Keyoti sent me what I needed.

Finally, the price and licensing (run-time royalty free) makes the component a bargain. Even if you do not use a lot of text-components in your programs I really recommend you to add RapidSpell. It is cheap, so easy to learn, no noticeable performance hit, and gives your projects a solid professional look.

We are using Keyoti RapidSpell Desktop 3.2 for a short while now. Our application is an ERP with extensive "Office" capabilities (Text, Spread, Email, ...). We combine Keyoti RapidSpell Desktop 'As You Type' and 'RapidSpellGUI' throughout the entire application to allow our users to have a (nearly) perfect spelled communication internal & external. We also have the need (since we're a European company) for non-English languages, which Keyoti supports.
Keyoti RapidSpell Desktop is very fast in algorithm but also in implementation. If you stick to "a standard approach", you can implement it within 2 hours starting from downloading RapidSpell (for a rather small application). If you want to customize RapidSpell then you'll need maybe a day or 2 - 3 (even for a large app), but then I'm talking about fully customized UI's, Sub-classing components (implementing interfaces), etc.... When it comes to this level the manual and the (large) API-doc's may become a bit "short". But then there is Email-Support.....
I once told them (Keyoti) that I thought they invented the terms 'Customer-Care' and 'Support'! Any question you send is correctly answered nearly before you hit "send".... They give you advise on "best practice", they give you samples, ...well if you insist, they even write 100 lines of code for you.
We use many 3rd-party software, like Keyoti, Janus System, TX TextControl, Spread, preEmptive, Desaware, Wise, QuickSoft, ComponentOne, ... and regarding 'Customer-Care' and 'Support' they qualify from verry poor (indeed) to Extremely high. Keyoti and Janus System are two Top Notch companies where the customer counts and the product is (among) the best in their category.
If you need a spelling-component then you maybe have one in some kind of 3rd-party suite. Well our experience is that small companies focussing on their core-business (either mailing, spelling, UI, etc...) are far better products than the large suites, offering tons of components, but none really 'Top Notch'.
So: if you need Zppelling, ... hum, spelling capabilities for you application, take a look at Keyoti RapidSpell Desktop. I am conviced you won't get disappointed.
