EDIBlackbox package of SecureBlackbox
EDI, or Electronic Data Interchange, is a set of standards and recommendations concerning transmission of business data between organizations via electronic channels. Generally it is used for transferring bills, invoices, checks and other accounting documents between trading partners, as well as for exchanging transactions between financial institutions.

With EDIBlackbox you can extend your application with fully featured AS2 and AS3 protocol functionality. EDIBlackbox components provide support for certificate-based message encryption and signing and strong traffic encryption (TLS), along with support for most recent cryptographic algorithms such as AES and SHA2.

EDIBlackbox operates on transport layer of EDI model, providing support for AS2 and AS3 protocols. In contrast to the EDI model itself, AS2 and AS3 are recent protocols providing secure and reliable data transfer over the Internet. AS2 utilizes HTTPS and S/MIME protocols and provides encryption and digital signing features based on PKI digital certificates infrastructure. AS3 uses FTP as a transport and S/MIME for message encapsulation and provides encryption and digital signing features based on PKI digital certificates infrastructure.

EDIBlackbox includes built-in S/MIME processor with charset support and does not use third-party libraries.

As AS2 and AS3 are based on FTP(S), HTTPS and S/MIME standards, EDIBlackbox includes SSLBlackbox for connection management and MIMEBlackbox for message handling.

EDIBlackbox is offered as an individual package and as a part of the SecureBlackbox Professional package.

FTP/FTPS and HTTP/HTTPS protocols are used by EDIBlackbox for data transfer operations, so SSLBlackbox client-only package is included with EDIBlackbox.

Available editions
EDIBlackbox is available in several editions for various software platforms.

.NET edition. This edition of EDIBlackbox includes pure managed components, carefully optimized to achieve maximum performance, comparable to native processor code.
.NET edition requires .NET Framework 4.0, .NET Framework 3.5, .NET Framework 3.0, .NET Framework 2.0, .NET Framework 1.1, Silverlight 4, Silverlight 3, Mono 2.0, Mono 1.0, .NET CF (Compact Framework) 3.5, .NET CF 2.0, .NET CF 1.0.
.NET edition can be used on ASP.NET server systems, Windows desktop systems, Windows Mobile PDAs, Silverlight-enabled browsers, on Linux and MacOS X systems with Mono installed.

VCL edition. Blazingly fast native Delphi (Pascal) components for building native Windows and Linux applications. Usable with Delphi, C++ Builder or FreePascal (Win32 or x64, Linux/x86 or Linux/x64).
VCL edition works on any computer with Windows 98 and later or with Linux kernel 2.4 and later.

Support requests from customers with Priority support are served ahead of requests from regular customers and evaluation version users.
