One software license is required per end user/developer. All licenses include 12 months Support and Upgrade Cover.
Run-time NOT royalty free.

Server License: One Server License is required per Server. A Server License is required for use of the toolkit in the following situations:
1. Windows Service or any Windows process not directly operated by a user.
2. As part of a web server application
3. Linux, Solaris or FreeBSD process not attached to a tty device or X-Windows display.

Site License: Allows you to install the component on an unlimited number of machines within one physical location.

Distribution License: The distribution license allows you to deploy your application externally outside your organization or company to multiple sites or to embed the component product in your application that is sold commercially. A distribution license does allow you to install on unlimited servers at unlimited clients.

Examples:
1. A software company wish to add barcode recognition to their applications. They have a team of 4 developers who will need to work with the toolkit and would like to to distribute run-time licenses without paying any further fees.
Licenses required:
4 User/Developer License (Not Run-time Royalty Free)
1 Distribution License

2. A company wishes to develop and deploy the barcode toolkit within their own organization. They are based at a single location and will require a large number of run-time licenses.
License required:
1 Site License (Not Run-time Royalty Free)

3. Same as 2 above, but the company needs to deploy their application at a number of locations within the organization. The development team of 8 people is based at one location.
License required:
8 User/Developer License (Not Run-time Royalty Free)
1 Distribution License

All licenses include 12 months Support and Upgrade Cover including:

• Free upgrades to the toolkit
• Advice and help on using the toolkit api
• Analysis of problem barcodes
• Support is available during UK office hours with a response in no more than 3 working days

Cost Level A: $0-249
Cost Level B: $250 - $499
Cost Level C: $500 - $999
Cost Level D: $1000 - $1499
Cost Level E: $1500 - $1999
Cost Level F: $2000 - $2499
Cost Level G: $2500+

Examples:

If you purchased a 1 User/Developer License for US$249 and then a Server License for US$999, giving a total of $1248, you will need to buy Cost Level D.
If you purchased a 1 User/developer and a PDF Extension then you would have spent a total of $448, you will need to buy Cost Level B.

Escrow Subscription: Your escrow annual subscription license will commence upon completion of a separate License Agreement. This Escrow License Agreement will be sent to you by mail and you should read it carefully before signing, to show your acceptance of the terms enclosed. Return the signed agreement to us and we will confirm our acceptance, by countersigning it and returning a copy to you. If you do not wish to sign the agreement, please contact our Customer Services department to cancel your Escrow Subscription order.
