Excellent product – there’s no two ways about that! Have used it since 2002 and only have positive things to say. Besides the high quality of the product itself, the support is also terrific and Syncfusion’s feedback system works great and provides fast replies. If you find a bug, it’s often possible to get a service pack with a fix, without having to wait for the next release!

Essential Studio provides a plethora of controls for use in your WPF applications. There is a lot of great functionality in the charting and grid controls . Also, a masked edit box is a much needed addition. In particular, the scrolling performance in the data grid is quite impressive compared to other data grids I have used.

Unfortunately, there are quite a few visual bugs that occur when interacting with the controls. I am sure that they will be worked out in future versions, and they aren't what I would call critical bugs. But, they are there, and that is why they only get 4 stars.

Very thorough code samples and fairly complete class-level documentation. It's ridiculously easy to get started with SyncFusion components, and the learning curve is fairly shallow when you consider the full provided feature set. I've used the grid and editor components with great success and was able to build a very good performing application with highly dynamic data using Syncfusion components to power it all.

Essential Studio has become to us exactly what its name says - essential. We've been using the grid and Excel IO components extensively in our product with excellent results. The features they have provided are an excellent fit for what we do. Essential Studio lets us do what we want rather than having the "tail wag the dog". Other component sets we've looked at always force us to do it "their way". There have been times when we really could have benefited from better documentation, particularly class documentation (properties and methods) but development at Syncfusion has always been so fast, I can see how it's impossible to keep up with.

We've found that with rapid product releases, it's best to pick a release of Essential Studio and stay with it for awhile.

In summary, it's not perfect, but for what it costs, Essential Studio is a great value, and the best product available as far as we're concerned.

I have used Essential Studio for several years and have had excellent results. The GridGroupingControl is very popular with our users, I use it extensively throughout our WinForms application. The suite includes a broad range of useful controls. Technical support has been good, the API is very deep and sometimes tech support is necessary to get pointed in the right direction. When diagnosing problems tech support will often provide a sample app for me to modify to try to reproduce the problem rather than asking me to send them our application. The documentation covers the basics well but there is a lot of power available and it can take a little digging to figure out how to do what you want. The nice thing is that nine times out of ten what you want to do is possible.

The Syncfusion support team is one of the finest I've dealt with. Their Direct-Trac incident turnaround time has been excellent and very professional. I would recommend the Syncfusion Essential Studio suite of products to anyone involved in developing software for the .NET environment whether it be ASP.NET, Windows Forms or even the newest technologies such as WPF. Syncfusion is just the best.

We chose SyncFusion in 2002 because of the quality of features offered in the relatively new .NET environment, the price, and the inclusion of all of the source code. The downloadable demo showed great promise for what could be created with SyncFusion controls.

Once we purchased the product, I was impressed by the broad API offered with each of the controls. In particular, the Virtual Grid method of populating a grid offered the ultimate control in terms of separating Model-View-Controller logic. Implementing an interface that includes the three required methods (QueryRowCount, QueryColumnCount, QueryCellInfo) on different data sources allows the same grid to seamlessly switch between many different data collections in an instant.

As for support, I can say that as a software developer I am quite pleased at the responsiveness of SyncFusion via the Direct-Trac system. There have been times where I generate a small example demonstrating a cosmetic problem with a particular control via Direct-Trak. In response, I usually get a timely thank you for finding a defect, along with source code to use as a work-around until the problem is fixed. I have rarely had to wait more than several hours for a response.

SyncFusion has kept pace with the ever-evolving Microsoft User Interface enhancements. The product has grown in size from a large collection of controls in version 1.1.0.0 (our first release) to the broad product suites targeting Windows Forms, ASP.Net, WPF and Microsoft Office product capabilities. The upgrade pricing has made it worthwhile to continue our support for and use of SyncFusion in our products.

Excellent product but more importantly excellent developers and support. The Syncfusion team worked tirelessly to help me integrate the excellent Edit control into an existing project. They even went out of their way to provide me with some great sample code that answered many of my questions. I fully recommend this and any of their products.
