• Not every Web error requires the same level of attention. A few failed requests to a rarely used URL may be very different from repeated 500 errors affecting a critical application. With the new Web Alerts, you can define alert rules based on specific Web request characteristics and combine conditions to target the situations you care about.
• Web alert rules can be customized to match specific conditions, allowing you to monitor different Web scenarios independently. For example, you can create rules to:
  • Monitor HTTP 5xx errors that may indicate server-side application problems.
  • Detect slow requests that exceed an acceptable response time.

• With the new AI Assistance in Queries Live, AimBetter analyzes the current situation and provides actionable insights to help you understand the cause of the bottleneck and identify potential ways to resolve it.

Responsive Agent - New supported actions include:

• Restart Agent - for solving monitoring issues.

Alert Settings Improvements

• AI Suggestion for Alert Configuration: Configuring the right alert thresholds can be challenging. Set them too low, and you get unnecessary alerts; set them too high, and you may miss important problems. The new AI Suggestion in Alert Settings helps users make better-informed threshold adjustments based on system behavior.
• Flexible Alert Serial Exclusion: Alert exclusions are also more flexible. Users can now specify any serial number in an exclude rule, even if that serial is not currently detected.
• Confirm Alert Setting Deletion: Also improved the deletion workflow with a confirmation step, making it clearer when an alert setting is being excluded.

Alert Reports Settings

• Stay informed with alert reports tailored to your team's needs. The new Alert Report Settings tab lets you create and manage reports based on schedule, recipients, and alerts to include.
• You can also see when the last report was sent and download the latest report directly from the settings.
• Whether you need a daily operational overview or targeted reports for specific alerts, reporting is now easier to configure and manage.

Query Alert Details

• When investigating a Query Alert, users can now drill down directly to the query that triggered the alert and view its historical data.
• This provides the context needed to understand not only that a query crossed a threshold, but how that query has behaved over time, making it easier to investigate the issue and identify performance changes.

UX Improvements

• Preserved Date/time Selection: When navigating between modules, the selected date and time are preserved so you can continue your investigation without resetting the time range.
• Context-aware company and server names: AimBetter now displays Company and Server names according to the level selected in the server tree. When viewing a single server, the server name may be unnecessary. At an account level containing multiple companies and servers, however, this information provides important context for the data displayed.
• Adaptive Query Filters and Columns: AimBetter monitors multiple platforms and environments, and the UI now adapts accordingly. Query tables and filters display only the information relevant to the selected level in the server tree, making it easier to focus on the data that matters.
• Logged In by Default: Users remain logged in by default, creating a smoother experience when opening alert details directly from an alert email.
• Floating Settings Icons: Floating Settings icons are now available across all Settings tabs, providing quicker and easier access to configuration options.

Custom Actions Test - Remote Execution of Scripts

• With Custom Actions, administrators can save scripts directly on monitored servers and execute them at any time from the AimBetter web application.
• After adding a file in the Custom Actions tab, you can now click the TEST button to verify that the file executes successfully.
• This feature allows administrators to validate Custom Actions before using them in production, ensuring they work correctly and reducing troubleshooting time.

New Responsive Actions

• Kill Image from the Performance > Images Tab
  • Added the ability to terminate processes that belong to the same image directly from the Performance > Images tab.
  • Enables immediate termination of problematic or resource-intensive processes directly from the AimBetter interface, accelerating issue resolution and eliminating the need for Remote Desktop access.
• Restart AimBetter Service from the Server Tree
  • It is now possible to restart the AimBetter service directly from the Server Tree by clicking the three-dot menu next to the HOST server name.
  • This allows administrators to quickly recover the monitoring service without logging into the server, reducing response time and simplifying remote troubleshooting.

Web Monitoring

• Real Client IP Address
  • The IP column in the Web module can now display the actual client IP address, retrieved from a configurable HTTP Header parameter. The parameter name can be configured in the AimBetter Configurator's IIS settings.
  • In many production environments, web traffic passes through reverse proxies, load balancers, or CDN services such as Cloudflare. In these cases, the web server often sees the proxy's IP address instead of the real client IP. By retrieving the IP address from the appropriate HTTP header (for example, CF-Connecting-IP or X-Forwarded-For), AimBetter can display the actual client IP address. This enables accurate user identification, simplifies troubleshooting, improves security investigations, and allows you to trace requests back to the originating client rather than the intermediary proxy.
• Support for .NET Core 2.2
  • Added support for applications running on .NET Core 2.2.
  • Allows organizations that still use .NET Core 2.2 applications to monitor them without requiring framework upgrades, improving compatibility across mixed environments.

FILE Connection without Hash Change Validation

• Added the option to configure a FILE connection without checking for Hash changes.
• This option is especially useful for Priority customers who need a FILE connection without causing the connection to become BLOCKED when the monitored file changes.
• Enables continuous monitoring of files expected to change frequently, without triggering unnecessary blocking due to hash validation.

MSSQL Monitoring

• Enhanced Screen Identification for Priority Customers
  • Added Process List data collection to improve screen identification for Priority applications.
  • To enable this capability, the Session Statistics module must be enabled in the SQL Server settings within the Agent.
  • Improves the accuracy of identifying the active Priority screen for each user session, making it easier to correlate performance issues with specific business activities.
• Enhanced MSSQL Monitoring for Amazon RDS
  • Added support for retrieving SQL errors and deadlock information from MSSQL servers running on Amazon RDS.

Alert Settings

• Define Risk & Follow
  • Administrators can now define default Risk and Follow settings directly within Alert Settings, providing greater flexibility and ensuring alerts are handled according to organizational requirements.
  • Risk settings allow users to mark any alert and severity level as a potential security risk. While some alerts already include a predefined risk classification indicating a possible security vulnerability, users can now customize these definitions and assign risk indicators to additional alerts based on their own security policies and operational needs.
  • Follow settings ensure that important alerts remain visible on the Home dashboard until they are addressed, regardless of whether they fall within the selected time range.
• Change Tracking Enhanced Category Configuration
  • Change Tracking Settings have been enhanced to support selecting specific change types within each category. This provides more granular control over monitored changes, helping teams focus on the configuration modifications that matter most while reducing unnecessary noise.
  • Change types that are deselected in the Change Tracking Settings will no longer generate email or mobile notifications and will not appear on the Home dashboard. However, these changes will continue to be monitored and recorded, and will remain fully available for review in the Observer Change Tracking tab. This allows organizations to reduce alert fatigue without losing historical visibility into system and configuration changes.

  • A new Alert Notification Table has been added to Alert Details, providing complete visibility into alert notification activity. Users can easily review when notifications were sent, through which channels, and gain better insight into alert distribution and escalation processes.
• Alert Event Table
  • For alerts related to operating system or database errors and events, the Alert Details now includes an event table displaying the specific events that generated the alert. Users can adjust the date range to review all events within the same category for up to one month, providing a broader context and helping identify recurring issues or trends.
  • Selecting an event from the table opens its detailed information, allowing users to quickly investigate the root cause and better understand the sequence of events that led to the alert.

QAnalyze

• Gap Visualization in Graphs
  • QAnalyze graphs now visually highlight gaps in collected data. This improvement helps users quickly identify periods when data was unavailable, either because the query was not among the most resource-intensive queries or because data collection could not be completed.
  • This enhancement provides a clearer context for analyzing performance trends and query behavior, enabling users to more easily distinguish between actual changes in activity and missing data points.

Performance Monitoring

• New Database Metrics
  • AimBetter now monitors additional database and storage performance metrics, including DataReadIO, DataWriteIO, DriveHealthState, LogIO, ReadIOPS, ReadLatency, WriteIOPS, and WriteLatency. These new metrics provide deeper visibility into storage subsystem performance and help identify I/O bottlenecks, latency issues, and underlying infrastructure health concerns more effectively.

Event Log
