Características

  • MapForce PDF Extractor - Added support for PDF input. The new MapForce PDF Extractor makes business data locked in PDFs available for data mapping, data integration, and ETL processes.
    • The MapForce PDF Extractor is an easy-to-use utility that allows you to quickly define the structure of a PDF document and extract data from it. Then, that PDF data can be accessed for further transformation and conversion to other formats such as XML, JSON, databases, Excel, and so on, in MapForce.
    • You can extract only portions of text instead of the whole document, mix and match pieces of information from different pages of the same PDF file, split tables into rows, and arrange data into groups.
    • When you load a sample PDF to create a template and define data extraction rules, the PDF is displayed next to a schema pane. The schema pane displays a tree structure that represents how the data will be extracted. You can select data to add to the schema tree manually or take advantage of the suggestion engine.
    • An XML structure with the extracted data is created in the Output pane below the PDF as you work so you can double check the result and adjust extraction rules if necessary.
    • Templates you create using the MapForce PDF Extractor can be used to map large volumes of data in PDFs that conform to the same format to enable automated or recurrent extraction of PDF data to different business formats.
  • "Sleep" function - A new sleep function is now available in MapForce that is especially helpful when integrating API calls to an AI system such as OpenAI in MapForce data mapping projects. Since some current AI systems impose rate limits on the API requests you can make, you may run into a "too many requests" error. The sleep function allows you to adhere to the rate limits imposed by the provider by configuring a small delay between successive API requests when necessary.
  • Support for new grant types in OAuth2 credentials - For Web services calls that require OAuth verification, the MapForce Credentials Manager now supports 'Client Credentials' and 'Resource Owner Password Credentials' grant types in addition to the 'Authorization Code' grant type.
  • Improvements for auto-connecting matching children - When enabled, the Auto-connect Matching Children option automatically connects all child nodes that have the same names in the source and target files. Several improvements have been made to this functionality in this release, including the addition of new options for configuring connections and connecting between source/target components of different formats (e.g., JSON to XML).
  • Native support for MySQL and MariaDB - MapForce supports connecting to MySQL and MariaDB (as well as numerous other databases) via generic ADO/ODBC/JDBC connections for data integration and ETL projects. MapForce now supports native connections to them without the need for external drivers, which is much faster and more convenient.
  • Support for SWIFT 2023 - Support has been added for the latest version of SWIFT EDI messages, adding to support for previous versions.
  • Support for Eclipse 2023-06 and 2023-09 - Support for integrating Mapforce in Eclipse has been updated to include the latest versions of the multi-purpose IDE.
  • Support for horizontal mouse wheel scrolling - For flexibility, MapForce developers can now scroll horizontally using the mouse wheel by pressing the shift key or tilting the mousewheel left or right.
