Beyond Compare se licencia por usuario o por estación de trabajo. Una licencia de usuario único cubre a una persona que use BC en cualquier número de ordenadores, o una sola estación de trabajo a la que accedan varias personas.
La Licencia de Sitio permite usuarios ilimitados en una organización en una ubicación física.
La Licencia Enterprise permite usuarios ilimitados dentro de una organización en varios sitios.
Beyond Compare tiene dos ediciones, Standard y Pro. La Edición Standard es una herramienta de comparación potente y completa. La Edición Pro incluye todas las funciones de Standard además de funciones avanzadas adicionales.
Beyond Compare está disponible para Windows, MacOS X y varias distribuciones populares de Linux. Las licencias adquiridas después del 1 de enero de 2016 funcionarán en todas las plataformas. Las licencias antiguas de una sola plataforma pueden actualizarse a multiplataforma de forma gratuita.
Las licencias de Beyond Compare son perpetuas. Una vez que compras una licencia para una versión principal específica y, siempre que cumplas el acuerdo de licencia, puedes usar esa versión para siempre sin coste adicional.
Protección de actualización
Cuando compras una nueva licencia, obtienes automáticamente 12 meses de protección de actualización. Eso significa que, si lanzamos una actualización principal dentro de los 12 meses posteriores a tu compra, puedes obtener la actualización gratis. Solo obtienes la protección de actualización automática cuando pagas el precio completo de una licencia. No se vuelve a establecer cuando pagas la mitad del precio para actualizar a una nueva versión principal. Si omites una versión principal y pagas el precio completo para actualizar, en la práctica se trata de una nueva licencia y obtienes 12 meses más de protección de actualización.
Mantenimiento anual (solo Site y Enterprise)
Si tienes una licencia ilimitada o Enterprise y prefieres presupuestar tus costes de licencia, puedes renovar tu protección de actualización anualmente por el 20% del precio de la licencia (vigente en ese momento). Si tu protección de actualización expira, solo puedes restablecerla en el momento en que compres una actualización pagando el importe anual (20%) además del precio de la actualización (50%). La transacción de actualización establece la nueva fecha de aniversario de la protección de actualización.
La clasificación del Número de Clasificación de Control de Exportaciones de EE. UU. (ECCN) para Beyond Compare es 5D992.
