EPPlus tiene licencia bajo un modelo de doble licencia. Polyform Noncommercial 1.0.0 para uso no comercial y licencias comerciales para empresas comerciales.
Las licencias comerciales se otorgan por desarrollador, tienen ubicaciones de implementación ilimitadas y se dividen en dos categorías:
Suscripciones.
Con una suscripción siempre puedes usar la versión más reciente, pero necesitas tener una licencia activa mientras uses EPPlus para desarrollo. Tu aplicación seguirá ejecutándose en modo release, pero ya no podrás ejecutar EPPlus en modo debug una vez que la licencia haya expirado. Para seguir usando el software, deberás renovar tu suscripción al final del período de suscripción actual. Las suscripciones están disponibles por 1 o 2 años.
Licencias perpetuas.
Con una licencia perpetua hay un período durante el cual puedes actualizar a nuevas versiones y tener acceso al soporte. Luego puedes seguir creando software con las versiones que se lanzaron durante este período sin necesidad de renovar la licencia. Puedes recibir actualizaciones y soporte durante 1 o 2 años, tras lo cual puedes optar por renovar o continuar usando la versión instalada durante tu período de actualización/soporte.
Hay paquetes de licencias perpetuas disponibles para equipos de distintos tamaños. La licencia cubre a los desarrolladores dentro de la misma organización.
Nota importante: A partir de la versión 8 de EPPlus y posteriores, deberás especificar la licencia antes de usar EPPlus.
