Fonctionnalités
  • Reporting
    • Reports use a familiar band-based model and can work with application objects, tabular data, CSV files, and SQL sources. The expression system covers formulas, totals, grouping, and formatting, while reports can be previewed as HTML or PDF.
    • The designer focuses on the tasks users expect from a visual reporting tool. You can drag fields and report elements onto the page, move and resize them, edit their properties, align items, and undo changes. Report definitions and designer state can also be saved and loaded.
    • The designer keeps its layout and editing state when switching between Design and Preview, longer operations can be canceled, older preview results cannot replace newer ones, and larger reports refresh more efficiently. Accessibility, localization, theming, and error handling were also brought in line with the rest of Blazorise.
  • DockLayout
    • The first missing piece was the designer workspace. Reporting needed panels that users could move, resize, group into tabs, hide, and restore.
    • That work became DockLayout, a standalone component for building IDE-style and user-configurable layouts. Applications can create horizontal and vertical splits, dock panes by dragging them, and save the layout so it can be restored later.
      DockLayout is used by the Reporting designer, but it can also be used for dashboards, admin tools, editors, and other applications that need a flexible workspace.
  • ContextMenu
    • The designer also needed context-specific actions for the object being edited, which led to the new ContextMenu component.
    • ContextMenu covers the common menu cases, including nested items, checked items, groups, keyboard navigation, and opening from either a target element or application code. Focus handling, accessibility, and menu positioning are built in, so it behaves like a complete Blazorise component rather than a Reporting-only helper.
  • PropertyGrid
    • Once a report element was selected, users needed a clear way to inspect and change its settings. That became the new PropertyGrid component.
    • PropertyGrid can build editors manually or from a schema, with support for grouping, search, descriptions, templates, and actions. Reporting uses it in the designer, but it can also be used for settings pages, configuration tools, admin screens, and other object-editing scenarios.
  • PDF Generation
    • Reporting also needed PDF preview and export, which led to the new Blazorise.Pdf extension.
    • PDF documents can be created with Razor components or fluent builders. The API covers the main building blocks needed for business documents, including text, images, shapes, and tables, with support for Unicode and custom fonts.
  • CodeEditor
    • CodeEditor handles the editor itself, while your application defines the language rules. Applications can add their own completion, diagnostics, formatting, validation, snippets, and syntax rules through strongly typed APIs.
    • It also supports different value update modes, so changes can be applied immediately, after editing, or with a delay. Multiple editors can run independently on the same page, and pending changes are kept when focus moves or the component is removed.
  • DatePicker and TimePicker
    • Completely rewrite DatePicker and TimePicker.
    • The rewrite keeps the existing public APIs and the behavior applications already depend on. At the same time, it gives us direct control over keyboard navigation, accessibility, popup placement, month and week navigation, and provider styling.
  • PdfViewer Continuous Scrolling
    • To make longer reports and documents easier to read, PdfViewer now has a continuous scrolling mode.
    • Set Mode="PdfViewerMode.Continuous" to show all pages in one vertical view. Page tracking and toolbar navigation stay synchronized as the user scrolls.
    • Configuration and examples are covered in the PdfViewer documentation.
      Resizer
    • The new Resizer component adds a resizable boundary to an existing panel, sidebar, or other element without requiring a full docking layout.
    • Resizer works with both pointer and keyboard input and can resize one or both sides of a boundary. It can remain invisible or show a provider-specific gutter when users need a clear resize handle.
  • Gantt Improvements
    • The Gantt Year View can now use weekly columns when a month-based view is too broad. The existing monthly scale remains the default, while TimelineScale="GanttYearViewTimelineScale.Week" shows one column per week across the year.
    • Gantt also supports milestones for important dates such as releases, approvals, and deadlines. They can be placed at exact dates and times, styled or templated, and included when the visible timeline range is calculated.
    • Weekly timelines, milestones, and other examples are available in the Gantt documentation.
  • Scheduler Improvements
    • Scheduler appointments often contain more than the built-in title, dates, and description. The Add/Edit Appointment dialog can now include editors for custom model fields through SchedulerColumns and SchedulerColumn.
    • Applications can also replace the editor used for a built-in field while keeping the Scheduler's normal validation, state handling, and save flow. Custom appointment templates and improved background styling make it possible to show those values directly in the calendar.
  • Fluent CSS Value Shorthands
    • Existing forms such as Width.Rem(8) and Gap.Rem(1) remain supported, so applications can adopt the shorter syntax gradually.
  • Custom CSS Colors
    • Color, TextColor, Background, and BorderColor now accept custom CSS values in addition to the existing theme colors.
    • This includes common CSS color formats and CSS variables, either passed as strings or created with the new CssColor helpers. The same color values work across regular components, border utilities, and SVG Charts.

  • Autocomplete Keyboard Selection:
    • Autocomplete now handles keyboard selection better when checkboxes are used.
    • When pressing Enter, Autocomplete will select the item when there is a unique match, making keyboard interaction more predictable and easier to use.
  • SvgLineSeries Opacity:
    • SvgLineSeries now supports opacity, giving developers more control over how line series are displayed and making it easier to work with charts that contain multiple overlapping series.
Corrections
  • Validation on Disabled Fields:
    • Validation behavior has been fixed for disabled fields.
    • Disabled fields should not take part in validation while they cannot be edited by the user. This update makes validation behave correctly in these cases and avoids showing validation errors for disabled inputs.

    • The internal FocusTrap implementation has been improved to provide more reliable keyboard navigation, maintain focus within active dialogs, and support dismissal using the Escape key.

  • Added SVG Charts
    • The new charting system supports a wide range of chart types, including line, area, bar, column, pie, doughnut, radar, polar area, scatter, bubble, and mixed charts. Charts can be configured either declaratively through child components or programmatically through data and options models.
    • SVG charts include built-in support for features such as titles, legends, tooltips, multiple axes, stacked charts, time axes, custom colors, labels, animations, accessibility metadata, and chart events. SVG Charts also support annotations, data labels, streaming, trendlines, and zoom/pan through an extensible plugin system.
    • Streaming support enables live-updating charts with rolling windows, animated scrolling, reverse direction, and continuous data retention for real-time scenarios.
  • Added On-Screen Keyboard
    • Applications running on kiosks, tablets, and other touch-based devices can now take advantage of a fully integrated On-Screen Keyboard built directly into Blazorise.
    • The keyboard can be enabled globally through accessibility options or configured per input with OnScreenKeyboard, and works across a wide range of components including text inputs, numeric inputs, date and time pickers, memos, DataGrid editors, modals, and validation scenarios. Input targeting can also be customized through OnScreenKeyboardInputType.
    • The feature supports multiple keyboard layouts, configurable sizing, customizable key styling and templates, special-character rows, Shift handling, punctuation keys, and culture-aware numeric input. It also includes more advanced behaviors such as caret insertion, selected-text replacement, Enter-key handling, automatic scroll adjustment, and live composition support for date and time inputs.
  • Added PivotGrid
    • When users need to summarize, analyze, and explore large datasets, PivotGrid provides a familiar spreadsheet-style reporting experience directly inside Blazor applications.
    • PivotGrid allows records to be grouped by row and column dimensions, calculate aggregate values, and display totals and subtotals in a tabular layout. It supports both local data binding and external data loading, making it suitable for everything from in-memory datasets to large server-driven reporting scenarios.
    • The component includes support for paging, row virtualization, expandable groups, totals and subtotals, runtime field selection, and filtering through a built-in field chooser. Custom aggregation logic can be implemented through the Aggregator API, while templates and styling hooks provide full control over headers, cells, and displayed values.
    • PivotGrid makes it easy to build interactive reports and data summaries without requiring a separate reporting tool.
  • Added Barcode
    • Generating QR codes, shipping labels, inventory tags, and other machine-readable identifiers is now easier with the new Blazorise.Barcode extension.
    • Whether you're generating shipping labels, inventory tags, product identifiers, or QR codes, the component supports many of the most common barcode and QR code formats, including Code 128, EAN, UPC, QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, and more.
    • It also provides flexible configuration options such as rendering mode, symbol sizing, scale, colors, rotation, value display and alignment, and image padding, allowing precise control over barcode appearance and layout.
  • Validation Warning Support
    • Not every validation message should prevent users from continuing. The new warning validation state makes it possible to provide guidance and recommendations without treating them as errors.
    • With ValidationStatus.Warning and the ValidationWarning component, you can highlight potential issues or recommendations while still letting users continue. This is useful for scenarios like weak password suggestions or optional field guidance where strict validation is not required.
    • The new ValidationFeedback component groups all feedback types (None, Warning, Success, and Error) into a single, consistent API, making it easier to manage validation UI.
  • TreeView Drag & Drop
    • TreeView now supports drag-and-drop reordering, allowing users to reorganize hierarchical data directly within the interface.
    • You can enable dragging with Draggable and allow reordering with Reorderable, including inserting nodes before or after others. Built-in behavior handles moving nodes within mutable collections automatically, so basic scenarios work out of the box.
    • For more control, you can use CanDragNode and CanDropNode to restrict allowed operations, and NodeDropped to fully customize what happens on drop. If not handled, TreeView falls back to its default move logic.
    • The feature includes clear visual drop indicators for inserting before, after, or as a child node, helping users understand where items will be placed.
  • Gestures, Carousel, and Animation Improvements
    • Several improvements in this release originated from the same effort to make touch-driven interactions feel more natural in Blazorise.
    • The journey started with the new Gestures component, which introduces built-in support for swipe, tap, and long-press interactions. Designed for touch-friendly applications, it provides configurable gesture settings and events while integrating cleanly with existing Blazorise components.
    • The result is the new Swipeable parameter, allowing users to navigate slides naturally on touch devices without additional markup. Carousel also gained support for custom indicator, navigation button, and caption templates.
    • The Animate component has since evolved into a much more capable animation framework, with support for custom animations and easing functions defined in C#, improved visibility-based transitions, and the new AnimatedSize mode for layout-aware animations such as drawers, sidebars, and expandable content.
  • Bootstrap 5 Provider Update
    • The Bootstrap 5 provider has been updated to Bootstrap 5.3.8.
    • This update improves support for newer Bootstrap 5.3 utility classes, including subtle color variants, border utilities, themed badges, alerts, tables, and improved contrast handling. Theming behavior continues to respect LuminanceThreshold, while adding additional contrast fallback logic to improve readability where needed.
  • Bootstrap 5 Bar Improvements
    • Bootstrap 5 Bar has been refactored to align much more closely with native Bootstrap navigation patterns. Both vertical and horizontal modes now make greater use of standard Bootstrap structures and class names, improving compatibility with custom Bootstrap themes and making the generated markup easier to customize with standard Bootstrap styles.
    • Alongside the structural changes, the update includes improvements to sidebar layouts, collapsed navigation, active and hover states, icon alignment, brand and toggler positioning, mobile behavior, and dropdown menu handling.
    • These changes result in a navigation experience that feels more consistent with the rest of the Bootstrap ecosystem while preserving the flexibility expected from Blazorise.

  • Added Material 3 Provider
    • This new provider replaces the legacy Material CSS framework that was previously built on Bootstrap 4. The new provider ensures a modern, sustainable Material implementation moving forward.
    • The new provider introduces many custom CSS rules and layout adjustments to ensure consistent behavior across components, as well as additional components not present in BeerCSS. In practice, the Material 3 provider should be considered a full Blazorise implementation of the Material 3 design system, rather than a simple wrapper around an external library.
    • From an API perspective, all existing Blazorise component APIs remain unchanged. Applications using Blazorise components will continue to work the same way from a code standpoint. However, if your project relied on custom CSS targeting the previous Bootstrap-based Material styles, those overrides will likely need to be updated to match the new structure.
  • AntDesign v6 Provider
    • Blazorise.AntDesign provider has been significantly modernized, aligning it more closely with the structure, styling, and behavior of modern Ant Design v6. Large parts of the provider were updated from older v4-era assumptions to newer markup, classes, and CSS variable token-based styling, resulting in a more accurate Ant Design look and feel across the component library.
    • The provider now ships the required Ant Design styles directly through Blazorise. Applications should use the bundled _content/Blazorise.AntDesign/antd.css file instead of older external Ant Design v4 CDN stylesheets such as antd.min.css.
    • The update includes broad improvements across buttons, sliders, navigation, forms, tables, popups, and responsive layouts. Styling now relies more on native Ant Design CSS variables and less on legacy Sass theme maps, making runtime theming more consistent and maintainable. Custom CSS that targets Ant Design v4 selectors, DOM assumptions, or old token names may need review.
    • Blazorise 2.1 also introduces a native Blazorise.Icons.AntDesign package. New AntDesign apps should prefer .AddAntDesignIcons() and _content/Blazorise.Icons.AntDesign/blazorise.icons.antdesign.css for the current provider-default icon look. Existing apps that intentionally use FontAwesome can keep it, but should review any FontAwesomeIcons.* usage or custom FontAwesome class names before switching.
    • Alongside the visual refresh, this release also delivers many fixes and usability improvements in areas such as validation, overlays, mobile behavior, menus, and component interaction polish.
  • Added Icon Packages
    • This release introduces two brand new icon packages: Blazorise.Icons.AntDesign and Blazorise.Icons.Lucide.
    • Both packages are implemented using SVG-based icons, offering improved rendering quality, better scalability, and more flexibility compared to existing icon providers that rely on CSS-based approaches. This makes them more suitable for modern UI scenarios where crisp visuals and customization are important.
    • These packages expand the available icon options in Blazorise while aligning with widely used icon sets from the Ant Design and Lucide ecosystems.
  • Added Maps Component
    • A new extension for building interactive maps using a provider-neutral component model.
    • The first implementation is powered by Leaflet, while the public API remains fully abstracted around Blazorise concepts such as maps, layers, markers, and shapes. This keeps applications independent of the underlying provider and allows additional providers to be supported in the future.
    • The extension includes core components like Map, MapTileLayer, MapMarker, and MapMarkerLayer<TItem> for data-driven markers, along with shape components such as MapCircle, MapPolyline, and MapPolygon. It also supports common map features including events, programmatic navigation, and dynamic synchronization between the bound view and the rendered map.
  • RichTextEdit Improvements
    • Added UseSanitizedPaste, which enables sanitization of pasted HTML so that only tags supported by the editor are preserved. This is especially useful when users paste content from external sources such as websites, office documents, or other editors, where the resulting markup often contains unsupported or unnecessary elements. By trimming pasted HTML to a supported set of tags, RichTextEdit helps maintain cleaner output, more consistent formatting, and better control over stored content.
    • Added per-component control over plugin loading. Previously, plugin configuration was only available at the global level, which made it difficult to tailor editor behavior for different scenarios within the same application. With this release, plugins can now be configured individually for each RichTextEdit instance.
    • This allows you to keep one editor minimal while enabling a richer plugin set in another, depending on the needs of each form or workflow.
  • DataGrid Self Reference
    • DataGrid Self Reference mode allows you to display hierarchical data structures directly within the DataGrid, enabling parent-child relationships from a single data source. Items can reference other items in the same collection (for example via ParentId → Id), allowing you to naturally represent structured data without reshaping or duplicating it.
    • This makes it possible to build rich hierarchical interfaces similar to a Tree View, but with the full power of a table. You can combine expandable tree-like rows with standard DataGrid capabilities such as sorting, filtering, templating, editing, and paging, delivering both clarity and flexibility in one unified component.
    • With Self Reference mode, hierarchical data becomes a first-class DataGrid scenario, simplifying implementation while keeping the experience powerful and consistent.
  • PdfViewer Password Prompt
    • Now allows password-protected PDFs to be opened directly within the app. When an encrypted file is loaded, the viewer detects that a password is required and triggers a password request flow instead of failing silently. By default, this flow uses ModalService to show a built-in prompt, allowing end users to enter the password and continue reading the document without leaving the current workflow.
    • For teams that need custom UX, the feature also includes an extensibility API so developers can handle password requests with their own dialog or interaction pattern, while still using the same secure loading pipeline. Blazorise have also added prompt validation and localization-ready text support through PasswordPromptOptions, so labels and messages can match your app language and style. Full usage examples and API details are available in the PdfViewer documentation.
    • Downloads from the PDF Viewer now use meaningful file names instead of defaulting to document.pdf. The viewer can automatically suggest a name based on the PDF's metadata (such as document title) or the source file name, making it much easier to keep multiple downloads organized.
    • You can also enable a filename prompt before download so users can review and change the name in place. The prompt is localized, supports validation, and still keeps downloads simple for users who just want to click once and save.
  • BarDropdownToggle: Smoother Sidebar Navigation
    • Sidebar and nested navigation are now smoother thanks to improvements in BarDropdownToggle. You can now use it as both a navigation link and a dropdown trigger, so users can follow a route and still expand or collapse child items from the same control. Active-route highlighting now follows link matching rules more reliably, and click handling has been refined so expanding a menu is less likely to trigger unwanted navigation.
    • Customization has also expanded in a user-facing way. Teams can now control dropdown toggle icon behavior more precisely, including hiding the icon when needed and configuring icon appearance through theme options. In practice, this makes side navigation feel cleaner, more predictable, and easier to align with each app's visual style across supported UI providers.
  • Added PasswordStrength Component
    • A new component, PasswordStrength, has been introduced to help users create stronger passwords in real time. It behaves like a standard text input while adding live strength scoring, rule-by-rule guidance, optional show/hide password toggle, and seamless integration with Blazorise validation flows so error and success feedback appear where users expect them.
    • PasswordStrength is fully localizable and rule-driven, letting you configure requirements such as minimum length, uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters, and blocked/common password checks. The component also supports visual customization through dedicated classes and styles APIs, including configurable colors for the toggle button and rule states, and now relies on provider-specific addons validation behavior to ensure consistent rendering across UI providers without leaking provider-incompatible validation classes.
  • Added RangeSlider Component

This makes the component clearer in scenarios where the default labels are too generic or do not match the domain language of the application.
    • Introduced additional parameters for controlling visual and interaction details, including options for configuring icon names, icon sizes, and related UI elements. These additions provide more flexibility when aligning TransferList with your application's design system or when fine-tuning the component for specific usability needs.

  • Field Accessibility Improvements
    • Accessibility for Field-based forms has been improved by automatically associating labels, help text, and validation metadata with the correct controls, reducing manual setup while producing more accessible markup by default.
    • Added automatic FieldLabel linking for standard Field layouts, including automatic use of the HTML for attribute for labelable controls and aria-labelledby for non-labelable controls such as ColorPicker, RadioGroup, RichTextEdit, Markdown, and SignaturePad.
    • Introduced explicit AriaLabelledBy support and refactored ARIA handling to rely on resolved getters rather than mutable backing state, resulting in more predictable behavior.
    • To give developers centralized control, this release adds BlazoriseAccessibilityOptions under BlazoriseOptions, with global switches for automatic for, aria-labelledby, aria-invalid, and aria-describedby behavior. These options are enabled by default.
    • Automatic linking works best when a Field contains one primary interactive control. For custom or ambiguous layouts, explicit FieldLabel.For remains available.
  • Scheduler Slot Styling
    • Custom slot styling is now supported in Scheduler through the new SlotStylingTemplate parameter. The template receives a SchedulerSlotContext with slot details such as Start, End, Section, and a mutable SchedulerSlotStyling object, allowing styles and classes to be applied dynamically per slot. This makes it easier to highlight working hours, unavailable periods, special dates, or other scheduler ranges across day, week, work-week, and month views without replacing the built-in slot rendering.
  • Added OneTimeInput Component

  • Semantic Form Grouping
    • Support for semantic form grouping has been added in Blazorise by allowing the existing Field and Fields components to opt into grouped behavior. When used in this mode, FieldLabel and FieldsLabel render a legend, making grouped scenarios such as radio groups, checkbox groups, and multi-input sections fit naturally into the existing Blazorise form API.
    • This improves accessibility by integrating grouped labels with the current aria-labelledby behavior, allowing related controls to be associated more clearly with their group label. At the same time, FieldSet and Legend remain available as standalone native wrappers, so semantic HTML can still be used directly without inheriting Field or FieldLabel behavior.
    • To support these scenarios, FieldSet and Legend include dedicated class-provider support for horizontal layouts, validation states, required indicators, and screen reader styling. This release also adds documentation, demos, and test coverage for the new grouped form patterns.
  • Responsive Breakpoint Service
    • A new shared responsive breakpoint service is now available, providing a centralized and reusable way to handle runtime breakpoint detection across Blazorise.
    • Previously, responsive behavior relied on component-specific logic and interop. With this update, breakpoint detection is now standardized, allowing any component to react to viewport changes without duplicating logic. A new BreakpointObserver component also enables a declarative approach to rendering content based on active breakpoints.
