Extract Text from Street Photos using OCR

October 17, 2023
Aspose.OCR 23.10 adds a specialized model to improve text recognition in images with sparse text and noisy backgrounds.

Aspose.OCR is an optical character recognition (OCR) library that allows developers to add OCR functionality to their applications. It supports a wide range of image formats, including PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, GIF, and DjVu.

Aspose.OCR 23.10 adds a specialized model for extracting content from street photos and other images with few words and and complex backgrounds. This improves recognition in images that were previously difficult for OCR to read. Use cases include reading road signs or license plates within street images, recognizing nutritional information on food packaging, and extracting text from printed catalogs.
