Modernize Linux 64-Bit Development

Delphi 13.2 Florence moves the Linux Intel 64-bit toolchain to LLVM 20, providing developers with a modern linker and richer debug information.

Modernize Linux 64-Bit Development

Delphi by Embarcadero is an advanced Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that allows you to build native applications for desktop, mobile, web, and console environments using a single codebase. It includes a visual designer, code editor, debugger, and component library, all specifically designed for rapid application development with the Object Pascal programming language. With Delphi, you can target Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux while leveraging a large developer community and extensive third-party plugin support.

The Delphi 13.2 Florence update moves the Linux Intel 64-bit compiler and toolchain to LLVM 20, including a modern linker and richer debug information. The compiler is supplied as both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries, allowing developers using the 64-bit IDE to target Linux64 alongside Windows 64-bit and Windows on Arm, while retaining support for the 32-bit IDE. This provides an updated toolchain for Linux services, middleware, database applications and FMXLinux development.
