Add Modular Sections to Your Reports
Embed subreports to combine information from different sources while keeping report sections separate, maintainable, and reusable.

Subreports allow developers to embed one report inside another, making it easier to combine related information while keeping individual report sections separate and reusable. They are useful for master-detail reporting, displaying data from different sources, and adding sections such as order lines, transaction histories, or supporting details to a main report. Separating these sections into subreports can also simplify report maintenance because common layouts and logic can be managed independently and reused where required.
Several React reporting components support subreports, including:
- DevExpress Reporting lets you embed subreports within a main report to create master-detail layouts and reuse detail reports across different reporting scenarios.
- ActiveReportsJS by MESCIUS lets you place existing reports inside a main report, combine information from different data sources, and create nested subreport structures for detailed reporting.
- Stimulsoft Reports.JS supports subreports for incorporating separate report templates into larger reports and can dynamically determine subreport sources at runtime.
