FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

All paid jQWidgets licenses are permanent and come with a 1 or 2 year subscription that includes updates and support. You can continue to use the licensed product after your subscription period ends.

What happens after my subscription expires?

You can continue to use the licensed product for as long as you require. Subscription expiry means that you will no longer be issued any product updates or be able to access support (except for the Community Forums). It is possible to renew your subscription at a lower cost than buying a new license.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade / downgrade my license?

It is possible to upgrade from previous versions. Please call us or send us a message to discuss your needs.

Can I buy an old product version?

jQWidgets do not sell previous versions directly, but if you purchase a new license you may also download and use previous versions. Please note that jQWidgets recommends to use the latest version.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes. jQWidgets is licensed per developer, not per machine.

Is Source Code available?

Yes, Source Code is included with the Developer License and Team License. The Website License and Non-Commercial Licenses do not include Source Code.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes. Licenses can be transferred to another developer.

What type of support do I get?

The Non-Commercial License allows access to the Community Forums only.

The Website License features Standard Support, which includes technical support for 1 year with 10 support incidents and a 48 hours response time.

The Developer License features Premium Support, which includes technical support for 1 year with 40 support incidents and a 24 hour response time.

The Team License features Platinum Support, which includes technical support for 1 year with unlimited support incidents and a 24 hour response time.

Does jQWidgets require online / offline activation?

No. jQWidgets does not require activation.
