We can supply any dotConnect Universal license including new subscriptions and subscription renewals.

Single Developer License: install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by 1 (one) developer for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Team Developer License: install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by up to 4 (four) developers within a single company at one physical address for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Site License: Install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by developers in a single company at one physical address for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Licensed developers may also deploy the product’s run-time assemblies with their applications, royalty free, in accordance with the EULA.

dotConnect Universal has two editions: Professional and Mobile. Professional edition includes additional classes, design-time extensions and wizards. Mobile edition is .NET Compact Framework. Note that Professional edition is shipped with built-in data providers for Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL.

The Subscription Program is an annual maintenance and support service. Users with a valid Subscription get the following benefits:

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

dotConnect Universal licenses are permanent, and include a 1, 2 or 3 year maintenance and support subscription. You may continue to use the purchased product after your subscription period ends.

What happens after my subscription expires?

You can continue to use the licensed products for as long as you require. Subscription expiry means that you will no longer receive support or future product updates unless you upgrade. It is possible to renew your subscription at a lower cost than buying a new license.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes. ComponentSource can arrange co-termination of your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or send us an email to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade my license?

Upgrades not available for dotConnect Universal.

Can I add a new license to my existing Devart account?

Yes. New licenses can be added to a Devart account.

Can I buy an old product version?

If you buy a new license, you are entitled to download and install any previous version of the same product.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes. You may install, activate and use one copy of dotConnect Universal on one computer provided it is used by one person. You may install, activate and use an additional copy of dotConnect Universal on a second portable device, laptop or home computer for the exclusive use of the same person only.

Is Source Code available?

No. Source code is not available for dotConnect Universal.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

In order to transfer license ownership to another person or company, you must first seek permission from Devart. You will need to specify contact data of a new owner of the license, so Devart can update their records.

What type of support do I get?

When you purchase a new licenses, you can choose 1, 2 or 3 years of Priority Support. You may choose to renew your subscription after 12 months, which will give you a further year of support and product updates. Priority Support is an advanced product support program which offers you expedited individual assistance with dotConnect Universal-related questions from the dotConnect Universal developers themselves. Priority Support is carried out over email and has a two business day response policy.

Does this product require online / offline activation?

dotConnect Universal does not require activation.
