Provide interactive performance and handling qualities for a variety of aircraft in your flight simulation application. Aircraft Dynamics includes user customizable properties such as aircraft dimensions, aerodynamic coefficients, stability and control coefficients, weights and inertia, and propulsion. Forces are modeled through a series of aerodynamic lookup tables. Includes built-in aero tables for the Cessna 182, F-18, and Boeing 747.

Aerodynamics:

  • Forces and moments acting on the aircraft simulation are modeled through a series of aerodynamic lookup tables
  • A variety of aerodynamic derivative properties are provided for customizing aircraft flying qualities
  • Properties include lift, drag, and side force components and stability and control derivatives

Aircraft Models:

  • A variety of aircraft types are provided for simulation or as the basis for developing a custom aircraft configuration
  • Properties are provided for a range of aircraft configuration settings including reference areas, lengths, weights, and inertia

Autopilot:

  • A basic autopilot is included for altitude and heading hold
  • Control limits and stick release properties are provided for autopilot customization

Engine Model:

  • Engine output is modeled through a series of performance parameters
  • Properties include engine efficiency, maximum horsepower, maximum thrust, engine type, and number of engines

Technical Information:

  • Property pages are dynamic. When you make a change it immediately changes the control. You do not need to hit the "Apply" button
  • Built-in ShowPropertyPage method makes property pages available at run time
