ChartDirector ASP/COM/VB Specific Features

ChartDirector for ASP/COM/VB is the ChartDirector library implemented as a COM component. It can be used by any system that supports COM, such as ASP web pages, Visual Basic, MS Word, Excel, Access, FoxPox, any system with VBA, VBScript or JScript support, and many other third party products. Works on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008: ChartDirector only needs Windows to run. It is completely self-contained and does not need any other third party products.

ChartDirector ASP/COM/VB Server Side Features

• High Performance Graphics Engine: ChartDirector's built-in multi-threaded graphics engine is specially designed for high performance server side graphics. It is fast and efficient and employs high quality anti-alias graphics.
• Javascript JsChartViewer Library: Sophisticated Javascript library to support charts with AJAX features and advanced user interactions, such as drag to zoom and drag to scroll.
• ASP Sample Code: Includes plenty of ASP sample code with an explorer-style browser page for easy viewing. Contains a sample database to demonstrate generating charts using data from database.

ChartDirector ASP/COM/VB Client Side Features

• ActiveX ChartViewer Control: ChartViewer is an ActiveX control for viewing charts, with tool tips, view port and mouse events support.
• Note: This control is only needed for viewing charts created on the client side. It is not needed in ASP applications where the charts are created on the server side.
• Chart Explorer Sample Program:Includes the Chart Explorer sample program written in Visual Basic 6.0, completely with VB 6.0 project files. The Chart Explorer demonstrates an application with hundreds of charts of different styles, all with tool tips and are clickable. There are also sample charts that demonstrate drag to zoom and drag to scroll features, and realtime charts.
• Standalone Sample Scripts: Also includes plenty of command line VBScript and JScript sample code. These scripts can be executed using the Windows Scripting Host (cscript and wscript) included in Windows. Useful if you want to create charts in batches or periodically using the Windows scheduler.
