Infragistics TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for IBM Rational Functional Tester) is a collection of custom libraries built using IBM Rational Functional Tester extensibility. It enables automated testing of the presentation layer, allowing testers to fully regression test Windows Forms applications with user interfaces developed using Infragistics NetAdvantage for Windows Forms controls.

What’s new in Infragistics TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for IBM Rational Functional Tester) 2009 Volume 2

WinTilePanel UI Testing - NEW

New UltraTilePanelProxy allows you to completely test the functionality of clicking and scroll actions in the panel (with many locations on each scrollbar supported). Using the Tiles verification point, you can access numerous properties of individual tiles.

New UltraTileProxy allows you to test the behavior of tiles, including drags, clicks on the header caption area, state change and close buttons. Within the Item Properties verification point, you have access to any TileSettings properties.

WinTimelineView UI Testing - NEW

New UltraTimelineViewProxy enables you to test the new WinTimelineView control with subitems for clicks on scrollbars; clicks on any time interval, appointment, holiday, owner or column header; and clicks on navigation buttons.

Supports additional verification points familiar to you from other WinSchedule-related proxies including ActiveOwner, Appointments, Holidays, Owners, Selected Appointments, Selected Holidays, the Selected/Visible Range and also Timeline intervals.

What’s new in Infragistics TestAdvantage for Windows Forms (for IBM Rational Functional Tester) 2009 Volume 1?

Supports the New and Enhanced NetAdvantage Windows Forms Features in the 2009 Volume 1 release, including:

WinPanel UI Testing - New UltraPanelProxy allows you to completely test the functionality of clicking and drag actions in the panel, and of its scrollbars (with many locations on each scrollbar supported).

WinGrid - Enhanced Filtering UI testing support added through recording of the Filter button on a column header or clicking of any dropdown buttons in the Filter row, and complete testability of the three areas of the Filtering UI popup menu:

Action buttons clicked in the menu tools area are treated as “AtButton” subitems.

Any actions occuring within the Filter tree displayed by the user interface are recorded off of a Tree proxy that lets you test it as if it were a WinTree

All other actions on the popup menu (like clearing the filter, or applying date filters for example) are treated as “AtPath” subitems

Supports new Row Layout Grouping functionality in which group headers are treated just like column headers, but have their name prefixed with “[group]”

New action GetHeaderCheckedState and recording of column header checkbox selection enable testing of the new functionality in the grid that allows checkboxes in a column to be synchronized from the checkbox in the column header

WinComboEditor - A new verification point is supported when Multi-Select checkboxes are visible in the ComboEditor, FontNameEditor and TimeZoneEditor. Validate proper application functionality based on a table of list items with corresponding Selected and Checked states.

Actions within the value list dropdown portion of an editor with Multi-Select checkboxes will successfully record selections AtLocation(CHECKBOX) using the Text of the list item by default (but you can change it to use the Name, Index or Position of a list item.)

WinCombo - A new action named ClickToState has been added to the UltraComboProxy that records and lets you replay a click of a Multi-Select checkbox. Before using ClickToState, the combo box’s drop down must first be displayed.

WinChart UI Testing

Record mouse behaviors such as mousing over, clicking on, and mousing out of the DataItem areas displayed in the TreeMap, with knowledge of the underlying DataRow and DataColumn to which the mouse action pertains.

New Scroll action records dragging or scrolling using any of the four possible scrollbars in 2D chart types.

SetNAProperty - Write to Public Properties

Streamline test scripts with "white box" knowledge of how the application is using NetAdvantage Windows Forms controls in the user interface, by directly setting their public properties. An invaluable shortcut, SetNAProperty enables you to test control settings that would otherwise require scripting much more UI automation.
