We have an app we have used Wordcontroller v5. One of our customers is now trying to run on Terminal Server and or Vista. Both return the error “Class not registered”
Other moments of this error were due to not having the RNWDC50.DLL file in the C:\Windows directory, but we have copied this in to the TS profile folder, the windows and the windows\system43 folders all to no avail.
We have the PC registry updated with what we are supposed to have
Help please!

Does this work with Word 2007 with Windows XP as the operating system? We have one developer, and want to use the component on client machines, how many licenses would we need?

Hi Ben,
I think I understand your request, but I want to be sure I do before I answer. Are you wanting to integrate support for Word documents in your application, and then have Word open the document that needs to be opened from within your Delphi application?
Please let me know if this is the case. Also, which version of Delphi are you using?
Sincerely,
Jason Williamson

Many people have been asking about support for Office XP (Word 2002).
WordController has now been upgraded to support this (changes were required) and the first WordController version to support Wd2002 as well as the earlier versions is 4.0.
At the time of writing this version had not been uploaded to ComponentSource. This will be done shortly. In the meantime existing customers can obtain this FREE upgrade via info@rainier.co.uk.
Thanks

I can't get the data loading in to the table right. All off the cells belonging to one row is in the first column. Eg "123","456","789" should be data in three columns but all this data is placed in the first column with listsparators. Have tried to alter the listseparator in Windows and the textfile but result is the same.
W2k and Office2k.
Anyone who have an advice?

More facts:
I’m evaluating WORDCONTROL and the main goal is to create and present god tables in MSWord.
Function WdcTextFileToTable give Problem with Listseparators.
All of the cell/column values show up in the first cell of the table like this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
| val1”,”val2”,”val3 | | | |
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OS: Windows2000P English
Word: Office2000 Swedish
Comma is not used as listseparator if using Swedish settings in Windows (instead used as decimal point, listseparator is “;”) so the textfile was at the beginning created regarding the Windows (swedish) country settings.
When the problem was first discovered I changed the country setting of W2k to US english and also the textfile separator to comma. No success.
I’m using an automatgenerated “ComAutomation” class of WORDCONTROL in “Visual Data Flex”.
Have somebody tested this fuction from eg VB?
I would apreciate if somebody can point me to a solution.
Regards

Yes this is a known problem with Office2000 in some situations. It has been fixed in v3.0.4 of WordController which has not made it to the ComponentSource library yet. I will send you the latest version directly as soon as possible.
Sorry for the trouble
