GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET V26.10Versión principal2 nov 2026
Funciones
Added Windows-specific target frameworks for .NET 6, .NET 8, and .NET 10. These target frameworks use native Windows libraries, such as System.Drawing, for redaction processing.
Updated evaluation mode limitations. Without a license, a single process can open up to 25 documents. The previous limits of 1 document, 1 redaction, and 4 replacements no longer apply. Trial badges are still added to the saved document.
Correcciones
Fixed the output location of a file that is rasterized while it is opened. LoadOptions.PreRasterize and formats that require rasterization, such as DJVU, now save the PDF next to the source file. Previously the PDF was written to the process working directory.
Updated previously vulnerable dependencies, including System.Security.Cryptography.Pkcs.
GroupDocs.Redaction for Java V26.10Versión principal9 oct 2026
Funciones
Added the ability to specify and preserve OOXML compliance when saving Word Processing documents.
Fixed page-area image redaction positioning (embedded images with page placement and real size).
GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET V26.9Versión principal30 sept 2026
Funciones
Improved cross-platform compatibility by removing the System.Drawing.Common dependency from the .NET 6, .NET 8, and .NET 10 packages. The .NET Framework 4.6.2 build still uses the Windows GDI+ stack.
This major change resulted in many changes to the public API:
Removed System.Drawing types from the public API. Color, point, size, rectangle, and font types are now provided by the GroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawing namespace.
Restored the original member names as the current API. BoxColor, FillColor, Size, TopLeft, and Rectangle now use GroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawing types. The temporary aliases introduced in 26.6 (BoxFillColor, AreaFillColor, AreaSize, TopLeftPosition, AreaRectangle, and BoundingRectangle) are obsolete.
GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET V26.7Versión principal21 jul 2026
Funciones
Added the ability to specify and preserve OOXML compliance when saving word processing documents.
Expanded spreadsheet format support for ODS, OTS, XLSB, and TAB files, including correct format detection and saving in the original spreadsheet format.
Improved handling of text-only spreadsheet CSV format: draw-box (colored rectangle) text redactions are skipped for these formats because they do not support image-style replacements.
Correcciones
Addressed an issue where a plain text document could be incorrectly saved as an XLSX/ZIP package instead of remaining a text file.
GroupDocs.Redaction for Java V26.7Versión principal20 jul 2026
Funciones
You can now specify file type when opening a document (stream or file) via LoadOptions(FileType).
Recognize new formats: Slides (POTX/POTM/OTP) and Words (OTT) have been added to extension filters.
HTML/Markdown is now processed via Aspose.Words instead of Aspose.HTML (HTML as text, Markdown as Word).
Added StreamHelper and StringProcessingResult; removed AsposeHtmlStreamAdapter.
Added the ImagesDocument getProperty() helper (declared-only lookup with fallback).
Code Quality: Simplified getSaveOptions(), made getProperty() static.
Improved Images EXIF processing: Added additional EXIF properties and you can now skip properties that fail reflection.
Correcciones
Fixed Aspose.Imaging issues: EXIF tag list cleanup, DICOM save options, multipage image save.
WordsEmbeddedImageAccessor.readImage: load image without disposing the source stream early.
Migrated .gitlab-ci.yml from cmd/batch to PowerShell (runner now uses PowerShell executor).
GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET V26.6Versión principal30 jun 2026
Funciones
Implemented the ability to specify document format explicitly when redacting a file or stream. Set LoadOptions.FileType to a supported FileType constant (for example, FileType.DOCX or FileType.PDF) to provide proper file format. This is especially useful for streams without a file name or when the file extension does not match the actual content.
Added GroupDocs.Readaction types. The GroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawing namespace contains Color, Point, Size, Rectangle, Font, FontStyle types that are independent of System.Drawing and may be used to increase cross-platform compatibility.
GroupDocs.Redaction for Python via .NET V26.6Versión principal12 jun 2026
Funciones
Added the full redaction capabilities of the underlying .NET library to Python, shipped as a self-contained wheel on PyPI.
Text redaction - Replace or hide text matched by an exact phrase (case-insensitive or case-sensitive, including right-to-left scripts) or a regular expression. Use a replacement string or draw a filled color box over the match.
Metadata redaction - Erase metadata wholesale or by filter, or rewrite values that match a pattern.
Image-area and annotation redaction - Black out a fixed rectangle on a page, rewrite or delete annotations, and clean embedded image metadata.
Page removal - Remove pages or page ranges from the start or end of a document.
Rasterization to PDF - By default, save() rasterizes the redacted document to a PDF and appends a _Redacted suffix so the underlying data cannot be recovered. Rasterization supports anti-extraction effects (noise, tilt, border, grayscale) and adjustable PDF/A compliance. Pass SaveOptions(rasterize_to_pdf=False) to keep the original format instead.
Reusable redaction policies - Describe a set of redactions as a RedactionPolicy, built in memory or loaded from an XML file, and apply it across many documents in a single call.
Pythonic, AI-friendly API - The entire .NET API is exposed through Python-native naming: classes use PascalCase, methods and properties use snake_case (auto-mapped to the underlying .NET PascalCase), and enum values use UPPER_SNAKE_CASE. The wheel bundles an AGENTS.md reference (discovered at groupdocs/redaction/AGENTS.md) for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, and the documentation is available in an LLM-optimized form and via the GroupDocs MCP server.
