Responsible Sourcing Policy

1. ComponentSource is committed to the protection of natural resources and to the promotion of sustainability wherever possible. It expects its suppliers to have and to follow similar principles and standards as part of their business ethics and values.
2. ComponentSource and its suppliers are expected to uphold health and safety good practice and to take appropriate actions to protect the environment in conducting their businesses.
3. Appropriate attention should be paid to environmental issues in the sourcing of products and services, including whenever possible:
   • minimising the use of energy, water and materials;
   • using recycled packaging materials;
   • minimising transport use to effect deliveries;
   • buying or creating energy from renewable sources
   • minimising waste and ensuring safe, efficient and environmentally responsible waste disposal;
   • avoid contamination of the local environment, ensuring that greenhouse gas, air (including odour) and noise emissions are minimized and within nationally defined limits.
4. ComponentSource and its suppliers will support, respect and uphold the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, including the operation of a human rights policy, provision of a safe and healthy workplace, and guarding against modern slavery and the use of child labour.
5. ComponentSource and its suppliers will operate employment policies which include ensuring that maximum working hours comply with national laws, ensuring that all overtime is voluntary and within maximum working hours regulations, providing employees with all legally mandated benefits, paying employees at least the minimum wage without making unlawful deductions, and operating an appropriate complaints procedure to deal with any breaches.
6. ComponentSource and its suppliers will operate policies of diversity and inclusion, recruiting people solely on the basis of qualifications, experience and individual capability. No form of discrimination (including age, gender, race, religion, disability, political opinion, sexual orientation, marital status), bullying, harassment will be tolerated.
7. Suppliers and their employees are required to report actual or suspected breaches of this Responsible Sourcing Policy to ComponentSource as soon as practicable by emailing its CFO accounts@componentsource.com.
