Funzionalità
  • [MySQL] DB PowerStudio 19.2 added support for AWS authentication for MySQL for DBArtisan, Rapid SQL, and DB Change Manager. This option provides authentication without passwords through Identity and Access Management (IAM) authentication.
  • [Oracle] Updated Oracle support to versions 23ai and 26 for DBArtisan, Rapid SQL, and DB Change Manager, providing improved data protection, searches, and performance including support for:
    • Vector Data Type. A new native data type implemented specifically to store vector embeddings for AI similarity or semantic searches.
    • JSON Relational Duality Views. These objects allow data to be treated as both relational (tables) and JSON documents (document store) simultaneously without compromising data consistency, enabling developers to build APIs easily.
    • JSON Collection Tables. Tables designed to support NoSQL-style APIs (like MongoDB API) connecting to Oracle Database. MLE Environments. Helper entities used in Multi-Language Engine (MLE) to manage JavaScript modules, which are treated as schema objects.
    • Database Search Indexes (DBMS_SEARCH). A new feature that simplifies the creation of a single index across multiple tables or views, replacing the need for complex USER_DATASTORE procedures.
    • BOOLEAN Data Type. Native support for Boolean values (TRUE/FALSE/NULL) directly in tables, eliminating the need to simulate them with NUMBER(1) or VARCHAR2.
    • Staging Tables. A new variation of heap tables intended for faster data ingestion, created using the FOR STAGING clause.
