ComponentSpace Internet Time (NTP) Component is a .NET class library that retrieves accurate date and time information from Internet time servers. It supports Network Time Protocol, Time Protocol, and Daytime Protocol, returning values that applications can process directly while providing flexible synchronous or asynchronous integration options.

Network Time Protocol Client

Implements the Network Time Protocol defined by RFC 1305, allowing applications to query Internet time servers and retrieve accurate UTC timestamps. The NetworkTimeClient class returns results as System.DateTime values that can be easily processed within .NET applications.

Support For Multiple Internet Time Protocols

Provides implementations of several widely used time retrieval standards including Network Time Protocol (RFC 1305), Time Protocol (RFC 868), and Daytime Protocol (RFC 867). This allows applications to communicate with different types of Internet time servers depending on infrastructure requirements.

System.DateTime Integration

Returns retrieved time values as standard System.DateTime objects when supported by the protocol. This allows developers to immediately use the results in application logic and easily convert UTC values into local time representations when required.
