We can supply any dotConnect for PostgreSQL license including new subscriptions and subscription renewals.

Single Developer License: install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by 1 (one) developer for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Team Developer License: install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by up to 4 (four) developers within a single company at one physical address for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Site License: Install and use the Software on one or more computers, provided it is used by developers in a single company at one physical address for the sole purposes of developing, testing, and deploying applications in accordance with the EULA.

Licensed developers may also deploy the product’s run-time assemblies with their applications, royalty free, in accordance with the EULA.

The Subscription Program is an annual maintenance and support service. Users with a valid Subscription get the following benefits:

  • Access to new versions when they are released
  • Access to all updates and bug fixes
  • Product support through the Priority Support program
  • Notification of new product versions

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

dotConnect for PostgreSQL licenses are permanent, and include a 1, 2 or 3 year maintenance and support subscription. You may continue to use the purchased product after your subscription period ends.

What happens after my subscription expires?

You can continue to use the licensed products for as long as you require. Subscription expiry means that you will no longer receive support or future product updates unless you upgrade. It is possible to renew your subscription at a lower cost than buying a new license.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade my license?

Yes. Upgrades are available from Standard Edition to Professional Edition. See details.

Can I add a new license to my existing Devart account?

Yes. New licenses can be added to a Devart account.

Can I buy an old product version?

If you buy a new license, you are entitled to download and install any previous version of the same product.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes. You may install, activate and use one copy of dotConnect for PostgreSQL on one computer provided it is used by one person. You may install, activate and use an additional copy of dotConnect for PostgreSQL on a second portable device, laptop or home computer for the exclusive use of the same person only.

Is Source Code available?

No. Source code is not available for dotConnect for PostgreSQL.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

In order to transfer license ownership to another person or company, you must first seek permission from Devart. You will need to specify contact data of a new owner of the license, so Devart can update their records.

What type of support do I get?

When you purchase a new licenses, you can choose 1, 2 or 3 years of Priority Support. You may choose to renew your subscription after 12 months, which will give you a further year of support and product updates. Priority Support is an advanced product support program which offers you expedited individual assistance with dotConnect for PostgreSQL-related questions from the dotConnect for PostgreSQL developers themselves. Priority Support is carried out over email and has a two business day response policy.

Does this product require online / offline activation?

dotConnect for PostgreSQL does not require activation.
