  • Updated version of the eWriter EXE-ebook template included. This template is required for creating self-running Windows e-books.
Fixes
  • Markdown and HTML5/Markdown hybrid export: two important bugs fixed.

  • Word/DOCX Export: Paragraph and text style attributes are tested for case-sensitivity. If a para in H+M is formatted with 'caption' but the style is defined as 'Caption', this makes no difference to H+M, but it does to Microsoft Word.
  • Manual Designer: new inserted objects were misplaced and too large on screen resolutions > 100%.
  • Improved (equal) line spacing for items with sub-script entries.
Fixes
  • DeepL Plugin: the popup menu for source and target language has grown so large, that it could not be displayed anymore on smaller monitors.
  • Fixed optical glitches with Dark Mode.
  • HTML Export: bug fix with the conversion of SVG-to-HTML.
  • Markdown Import: When Markdown content is split into header and body, the header text is used as the document title. This affects the text in the TOC entries, because Markdown files never have an explicit document title, hence H&M always used the file name on the TOC.
  • Insert Symbol: some (Wingdings) symbols added to the custom insert list were not correctly displayed and not correctly inserted. The invalid symbols resembled ANSI chars that could not be displayed with a regular font.
  • Compiler logs (written to a log file) cleaned up and empty lines fixed.
  • The plugin for .SNAGX files sometimes extracted the wrong picture.

  • DeepL Plugin: Several new languages implemented, including Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Maltese, Irish, Swiss German and a dozen more.
  • SnipSVG 2.2 included (features OCR in Windows 10/11).
Fixes
  • Secondary TOCs: When a project was refreshed (in multi-user mode or after synchronize from VCS), new secondary table of contents created by other users did not show up. It was required to close the project and re-open it again to make the new TOCs visible.
  • Secondary TOCs: The source XML file names for secondary TOCs are no longer enumerated, but created with a unique file name ID.
  • Topic Editor / Program Options: The setting for editor ruler units has a 5th option: NONE/HIDE to hide the ruler completely.
  • Paste image from clipboard: The suggested screenshot name no longer includes a number or the username, it follows a naming convention of date+time, similar to the naming of screenshots on macOS.
  • Webhelp Export: Sitemap now has a more detailed <lastmod> entry that includes a UTC time stamp.
  • Robohelp Import: Error when importing old-style keyword index fixed.
  • Close project: When pressing the ESC key in the “Do you want to save” dialog, the dialog took this as a “no” instead of “cancel”.
  • Insert Variable: OK button was initially enabled despite no variable was selected.
  • ChatGPT Plugin: Attaching .TXT files did not work.
