Interact in Infragistics App Builder allows developers and designers to define precise interactions between UI components and application views, including navigation, visibility toggling, and overlay control. This capability enriches user experience design by enabling interaction-driven app scenarios, activated through user actions like clicks. The interactions are fully supported in app previews and retained in generated code for deployment.

Interaction Setup Interface

Select a triggering component and use the property panel to add interactions such as Navigate to, Open/Close, or Show/Hide. Configuration is straightforward with guided selection of interaction types and target components or views.

Navigate to Interaction

Enables navigation from one component to a selected child or master view, allowing developers to connect UI elements with different application screens dynamically without visual changes during design time.

Open/Close Interaction

Specifically targets overlay components like dialogs. Triggers like buttons can open or close these overlays, facilitating modal or popup management within applications with intuitive design-time overlays.

Show/Hide Interaction

Allows toggling visibility of components within the same view based on actions from another component. It supports creating responsive UI elements such as showing a calendar when a button is clicked without affecting entire layouts or views.

Preview Mode Support

All interactions configured are testable directly in Preview mode, giving immediate feedback and validation of user experience flows before code generation or deployment.

Code Generation Integration

Interactions defined in the App Builder are included in the generated application code, ensuring that designed user interactions function consistently in the final app product across platforms.
