Nevron Map for SSRS adds advanced mapping and geospatial data visualization to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. It helps report authors create choropleth maps connected to business data, using ESRI maps, multiple layers, legends, projections, and flexible appearance options for analytical and presentation-focused reporting.

Multiple Map Layers

The component supports an unlimited number of map layers within a report. Each layer can display a predefined or custom ESRI map, connect to underlying data, and use its own fill rules, legend settings, and dynamic shape appearance.

Predefined and Custom ESRI Maps

Nevron Map for SSRS includes built-in maps such as the world, the USA, and all USA states. It also imports maps in ESRI format, including geospatial and database data, so reports can use both packaged and custom geographic content.

Choropleth Map Rendering

The product is designed for creating choropleth maps that are tightly integrated with report data. It lets report authors visualize values across regions, countries, states, and other geographic shapes directly inside SQL Server Reporting Services reports.

Flexible Map Fill Rules

The component applies two-color and three-color filling rules with a user-specified number of ranges. It also supports distinct value filling, making it suitable for highlighting grouped values, gradients, and category-based geographic patterns in report visuals.

Data Distribution Modes

To classify mapped values, the component supports Equal, Equal Interval, and Optimal distribution modes. These options control how source data is split into ranges, helping authors present geographic patterns in a way that matches reporting and analysis needs.

Map Projections

Nevron Map for SSRS supports 22 map projection types for displaying longitude and latitude data on a two-dimensional surface. This allows reports to present geographic information using different projection models depending on layout, readability, or regional focus.

Multiple Legends

The component supports an unlimited number of legends, and each map layer can be associated with a different legend. Legends can display layer-specific information and can be manually positioned or docked to the map or map area.

Multiple Titles

Authors can add an unlimited number of titles to a map. Titles can be manually positioned or docked, making it easier to organize headings, contextual labels, and descriptive text within the map layout of a report.

Map Zooming Options

The product includes several zooming modes, including zoom to bounds, zoom to layer, zoom to data bounds shapes, and zoom to shapes matching specific criteria. These options help focus the report view on the most relevant geographic areas.

Designer Templates and Code Customization

Nevron Map for SSRS supports saving and loading map templates as XML, making map configurations reusable across reports. It also supports C# code embedding, which allows runtime customization of map appearance and behavior when deeper control is needed.
