You will need to renew your license to continue to use the software.
What's a server?
A server is a single running instance of PowerShell Universal.
What if I have multiple containers?
The license applies to each container instance and not the container host. For example, if you have 10 container instances running, you will need 10 licenses.
What if I have multiple sites on a single IIS server?
Each website running PowerShell Universal will need a license and not a single license for the entire IIS server.
Developer Licenses
When a server license is purchased, you will be able to generate developer licenses for users building solutions for your team. Developer licenses do not allow remote access and are intended to be used locally. Do not use developer licenses when hosting a server for remote access for testing or production.
Subscription Licenses
Subscription licenses must be renewed at the end of the current term to continue to use the software. If you do not renew the Subscription License you will no longer have the rights to use the software.
Perpetual Licenses
Please note that PowerShell Universal is no longer available as a perpetual license. Customers that had a perpetual license and choose to renew the subscription to receive new versions and support will be moved to the annual subscription license model.
(Perpetual licenses included maintenance (bug fixes and upgrades) for one year from purchase. Organization licenses also included support for one year. You could continue to use your perpetual license after your maintenance had expired but you would no longer be able to upgrade nor receive support. Renewals extended the perpetual license period along with maintenance and support).

The following features of PowerShell Universal require a license.
