FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

All Telerik Developer Tools products are permanent. You can continue to use the purchased product after your subscription period ends.

What happens after my subscription expires?

You can continue to use the products included in your subscription for as long as you require. Subscription expiry means that you will no longer be issued any product updates or new product releases. It is possible to renew your subscription at a lower cost than buying a new license. Early Renewals offer the best value, and must be purchased before your subscription expires. Standard Renewals can be purchased up to 60 days after expiry. Welcome Back Renewals are available more than 60 days after expiry.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade / downgrade my license?

You can upgrade to Telerik DevCraft suites from any of the individual "Telerik UI" or "Kendo UI" products. You can also upgrade from one edition of DevCraft to another (e.g. from "DevCraft UI" to "DevCraft Ultimate").

You can also downgrade - for example from DevCraft Ultimate to DevCraft UI.

Can I add a new license / previous version to my existing Telerik account?

Yes - you can add new licenses of the same product(s) or new licenses of different products to your existing Telerik account. You can access previous versions by logging on to your Telerik account.

Can I buy an old product version?

Telerik does not offer old versions for sale directly. However, purchasing a new license entitles you to download previous versions of the corresponding product for no additional fee.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes - The licensed developers can install Telerik controls on as many of their own machines as they need to, including a laptop, home desktop, work desktop, etc.

Can I use the product on more than one project/server/domain?

Yes - Telerik licenses have no deployment limitations - they allow the use of Telerik controls for an unlimited number of applications spanning various servers and domains.

Is Source Code available?

Source code is available for all products in DevCraft, with the exception of Telerik UI for Xamarin and Telerik JustMock.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes. Upon your purchase of a product license, you become the License Holder and a customer account is created in the Telerik system. You will have access to a special utility in Your Account from which you can assign licensed users (developers or consultants). Each assigned user will receive his/her own credentials to log into the system and will have access to the software and support.

Whenever you decide to re-assign the product license to another user, you can delete the current Licensed User from your Users list and assign a new User. There will not be a physical transfer of the license as everything happens online and is a matter of granting rights regardless of where the user is located.
