Website License

The ZingChart Website license is for use on a single domain. The website which lives on this domain should be publicly accessible. This means when a user comes to the website, there should be no requirement to login to access the site or any of its charts. If users are required to login to view charts or to access the website, you should consider either Internal licensing or SaaS licensing, depending on the type of users you have for your app. Website licenses can not be used for product development. No support included.

Internal License

The ZingChart Internal license is intended to be used for the development and deployment of a single internal application. This application needs to be hosted and accessed on a fully qualified domain name. This app should only be used/accessed internally by employees or contractors directly associated to the licensed organization. This license should not be used if you are providing customers or clients access to the application. If you are building multiple internal applications you will likely need multiple Internal licenses or you may be a candidate for an Enterprise license. 1 hour product support included.

Service (SaaS) License

The ZingChart SaaS license is for the development and deployment of a single application hosted on a single domain. A SaaS application generally requires customers, clients, and other users who are outside of the licensee's organization to login to the app to gain access to content and charts. SaaS licensing is generally used for a sellable software product hosted on a single domain or a hosted software application accessed by users in support of a sellable product or service. 2 hours product support included.

Enterprise License

The ZingChart Enterprise license is for the development and deployment of internal applications within a single organization. With the Enterprise license, there are no restrictions to the number of domains or number of applications in which ZingChart can be used. However, Enterprise licenses are restricted internal use: they should only be used for internal applications. These applications should be hosted by the licensed organization and only accessed by users who are directly associated to the licensed organization (ie employees, contractors, etc). The ZingChart Enterprise license can not be used for sellable software products. Additionally, applications using the Enterprise license should not provide access to users outside of the licensee organization, such as customers. 4 hours product support included.

OEM License

Distributed software & on-premise products.

Support and maintenance

Support and maintenance subscriptions include 4, 8, 10, or 25 hours of product level support per year. The term of the support is 1 year from the time of purchase. Unused support hours will expire unless the support and maintenance subscription is renewed, then hours will carry over. New support hours will be added to your account upon renewal of the support and maintenance subscription.

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

ZingChart is offered as both Perpetual Licenses and Yearly Licenses, to suit your needs. The Perpetual License allows you to use the licensed version forever. The Yearly License is available at a lower upfront cost, but must be renewed after the first year if you intend to continue using the software.

What is the difference between the different licenses?

A range of licenses are available, each of which can be purchased as a Yearly or Perpetual License:

The Free Branded License includes the same functionality as the paid licenses, but a Powered by ZingChart watermark will appear on all charts and must be visible at all times.

The Single Website License is suitable for a blog, non-profit or simple website. It supports unlimited developers on a single Website or domain.

The Internal License is suitable for internal teams. It supports unlimited developers on a single internal application or domain.

The SaaS License is suitable for salable software, services and mobile apps. It supports unlimited developers on a single salable product or application.

The Enterprise License is suitable for multiple internal teams. It supports unlimited developers on unlimited internal applications or domains.

The OEM License is suitable for distributed software and on-premise products. ZingCharts can arrange a customized OEM license to suit your specific needs.

Can I upgrade my license?

You can upgrade your license from single domain to multi domain. You will only be charged the difference in the cost.

What type of support do I get?

The Free Branded License does not provide access to support via email, chat, or phone. Developers using the branded version of the library are provided access to the ZingChart online documentation only.

The Single Website License includes basic chat support. Premium chat support is available as and to have your issues prioritized by our team, see our support section for details about paid support packages and options

What happens after my Yearly License period ends?

In order to continue using the software after the Yearly License expires, you must purchase another Yearly License. The Perpetual License does not expire.

Can I buy an old product version?

Purchasing or renewing a license entitles you to any version of the library.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

ZingChart is licensed per Web site or application, rather than per developer, so there is no need to transfer a license between developers within the same organization.
