- Renaming of add-in for clarity - The Solvency II XBRL add-in for Excel has been renamed EIOPA (Solvency II) XBRL add-in for Excel for clarity and to better correspond to the standard's naming convention. EIOPA stands for European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority and is the supervisory authority that regulates Solvency II reporting. The add-in will appear as a new EIOPA tab in the Excel ribbon after installation.

- Support for updating from older taxonomy versions - Users who have existing Microsoft Excel files tagged for a previous version of a Solvency II XBRL taxonomy are now able to automatically create a new copy tagged for an updated taxonomy. All previous data that is still valid in the newer taxonomy will be transferred automatically; the rest will be written to a report.
