MadCap Doc-To-Help Licensing

We can only supply MadCap Doc-To-Help subscription renewals.

Licenses are per user per seat. Anyone that uses Doc-To-Help to create and compile projects needs to have a license. The outputs you build (print materials, web content, application help) can be distributed royalty free.

Subscription License

  • Licensed per user and available only for the duration of your subscription period. The subscription period begins on the day of purchase.

Floating License

  • Licensed per user and available only for the duration of your subscription period. The subscription period begins on the day of purchase.
  • Floating License allows sharing across a pool of users by providing a single key that specifies the total number of users that can concurrently use the software.
  • Includes a bundled Platinum-level Maintenance and Support Plan.
  • Completely flexible - unlimited installations/activations across company.
  • Each instance of the product launched will consume one concurrent seat.
  • Internet connection required to verify number of seats in use and available.

Platinum Support

  • Support Hours 6am to 5pm.
  • Unlimited email Support.
  • Unlimited Telephone Support.

License Agreements

FAQs

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

MadCap Doc-To-Help is available as a Timed or Floating Timed Subscription which allows you to use the software for 12 months, and must be renewed in order to continue using the software.

What happens after my subscription expires?

After expiry, you will no longer be licensed to use the software. In order to continue using it you must renew your subscription. For further information, please see the License Agreement.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes. ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I add a new license / previous version to my existing MadCap Software account?

Yes. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Can I buy an old product version?

MadCap Software does not sell previous versions directly, but purchasing any new license gives you access to download older versions of the same product.

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Yes. Each license can be installed on two different machines, as long as they are both on different domains.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Yes. You can deactivate your license from within the Help Ribbon, or the MadCap support team can help you transfer a license to another developer.

What type of support do I get?

MadCap Doc-To-Help licenses include a 12 month Platinum support and maintenance subscription. This provides product upgrades and updates, unlimited priority email and telephone support, access to the Senior Engineer support team, access to the knowledge base and forums, and the option to send projects directly to the support team for analysis. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Pacific Time).

Does this product require online / offline activation?

No. MadCap Doc-To-Help does not require activation.
